his INT was #6 on sportscenter top 10 of the week! pretty happy about that .. at least its better to talk about than the whole tits thing...
That was a very nice play. He showed a lot of awareness coming down and staying in bounds. We've been waiting all year for him to do something like that.
Rhodes is motivated by his second paycheck, that is now that hes banging Jennifer Hudson... yes indeed, a sick play and a great pick!
http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=699356&postcount=7 Did I mention that I wore my Kerry Rhodes jersey for the first time on Sunday? It's why we won, thanks. All of my other Jets clothing lost their good luck mojo, so it was about time. Anyway, mmmm, Kerry Rhodes. But that's besides the point.
Yup, awesome play all around by Kerry, but I expect more from him, this was supposed to be the year he put himself on the map as an elite afc safety. Hopefully that int is a sign of things to come.
Rhodes isn't a big hitter.. He's usually a really solid tackler, but hitting isn't his forte.... Despite his low INT numbers, he has, at last check, a very good number of passes defensed, and he has been playing, very, very well in coverage this season.... He's lacked a true partner back there at the other safety spot all year, and he's been pretty much holding it down on his own.... Numbers don't tell the whole story... He is the best player on this D, easily
yeah, that's why every now and then you'll see someone suggest we take Philips with our first pick. that would be a wildly unpopular pick, but that tandem would be awesome.
You know, if you keep all of your Jets stuff in a pile on the closet floor, none of the mojo will leak out. In fact, after a couple of weeks, new mojo starts growing all over them....it's green mojo too.......
#6? Should have been higher if you ask me. That was a great interception. Anyone find a .gif video of it?
Yea I haven't had a chance to watch the whole video either. Does anyone have a link to it online or anything?
I was about to say the same thing til I got to your post, Kerry Rhodes isn't the guy that is going to lay the wood in our defensive secondary, and the way his coverage is improving, as long as he is utilized well, I don't think he has to. The guy has great instincts and is just a fantastic athlete, but I'm not waiting for him to crumple some receiver because looking at his physique compared to some of the larger receivers out there, Rhodes might be the one that doesn't get up. I love his playing style and hope he keeps it up and progresses from this point. A coverage safety is a sweet thing to have back there.
