What is it about waiting for the bye week to start playing defense on this team? Last season we saw the defense totally shift gears after the bye week and beat the Pats along with a number of other teams. Yesterday, we clearly switched gears again and played great defense against a solid steelers squad. I'm baffled as to why they would wait until the bye week to make such changes when it was clear the changes needed to happen much earlier. The "consistent approach" before the bye week is average at best and shitty at worst. The "consistent approach" needs to shift to be more like whatever it is they do during a bye week. I understand it may take extra time to implement large scale changes, but clearly it is necessary. Even if they have to implement the changes over the course of 2 weeks during the season possibly cutting into specific opponent preparation it seems as if it would be well worth it. So what's the deal with the bye week approach compared to prior?
I reckon they literally tore up the play books and went back to basics. I also think that Eric had alot more to do with the D as well. God I hope Sutton is gone , sooner than later please. Mangini looks washed out (loads of zits) so I guess hes been up all night putting in the shifts , Kudos to him and the backroom staff
A full extra week of preparation will help you out a lot. Let's keep in mind that it wasn't solely better performance by the defense this week. The offense played better as well. (We finally had a 100-yard rushing game by TJ!) Ellis lining up off the line helped too, which is a change I'm sure no one wants to make without a lot of preparation. Harris and Revis coming into their own isn't bad either. Really, the biggest reason we won is that things fell into place for us for once this year. We've been in most games this year late, but we always found a way to not win. Let's see what happens Thursday before we start proclaiming this defense "saved". Romo to TO >>> Ben to Ward.
well now we've seen what the team can do after an extra week of preparation, now lets see what happens after half a week.. seriously tho cant wait for this game.. TO is left wide open on 95% of his td catches and romos a little bitch who either relies on TO being wide open or running around like an idiot and then sidearming the ball accidentally to hopefully one of his players. i want to see him get absolutely rocked at sometime during the game.. preferably harris..
Whats the deal with the Bye Week? Whats the deal with Ovaltine...?? The Jar is round.... The Mug is round.... Why don't they call it Roundtine?
What's the deal with the bye week? I mean "bye"...what does that mean? No one's going anywhere. It should be called "see ya later" week. Bah, badah, bah-bah, bah, bah...etc.
