Don - how did you miss this story? Or you only post negative news against other teams players? http://wcbstv.com/sports/derek.jeter.yankees.2.568895.html
I'm no Jeter fan. I would have posted that. BTW, what other player have I posted negative news against except Bonds? If you can't accept what Bonds is and has meant for baseball then you are just pathetic.
Relax. Just noticed that it hit the news about the same time as the Bonds indictment. But actually, since you called me pathetic, cheating and deceiving the government out of taxes is at least as pathetic as what Bonds did. Jeter CHEATED the taxpapers of New York City of their duly owned taxes.
And since we are on the subject, and you were calling the Mets laughingstocks if they give Arod a large contract, exactly who are the Yankees bidding against as they are preparing a record breaking contract for Arod? The Yankees and the Steinbrenners are stupid beyond belief - Posada figured that out, and now Rivera is figuring that out, and Petite is in the wings already KNOWING it. From Fox Sports: There is a reason why Mariano Rivera has not accepted the Yankees' offer of a three-year, $45-million contract. Rivera, according to major-league sources, wants a fourth guaranteed year. The Yankees remain the overwhelming favorite to retain Rivera. No other club is expected to even approach their proposal, much less top it. But Rivera, who turns 38 on Nov. 29, has instructed his agents to shop him, in part because he was angered by Hank Steinbrenner referring to his age in recent comments about the Yankees' offer, a source says.
I'm just coming out of a two-day IRS audit, with the final result still in question. I'm ENTIRELY sympathetic to Derek Jeter at the moment, and I support anything he chose to do in order to minimize his tax obligation. Have at 'em Cap'n!!
Best of luck to him.... the IRS screwed my wife and it's taken almost 5 years and we still haven't gotten things all squared away. Oh well at least Jeter can say he isn't funding a stupid project to see if people speed up when the light turns yellow. Like I said best of luck to him....
if your as ballplayer and you know they can afford it wouldnt you want the most? the money that they are paying these players is nothing they can make all that money back very fast. basically the money they paying these players are being paid by the world if you know what i mean.
Today's MLB rap sheet...Derek Jeter. I'm sure Fox is planning a new reality series: "America's Most Wanted: MLB Edition". Buck and McCarver can host.
