How was it? I didn't get to see it except for the small clip they showed of Curtis and Parcells. Parcells was unexpected. I really wanna see the whole thing, I wonder if it will be posted on the Jets site.

I felt bad. First off half the stadium was empty but what made it worse was the fans were booing more than cheering. Not Curtis but when they announced Parcells who made a nice little intro for Curtis they booed and of course the usual woody Johnson boo's. I just felt that these guys are here for Curtis and no matter what your feelings are toward them if you want to make this ceremony special for c-mart be a little more classy.

yeah it was really depressing hearing so little crowd cheering, no offense to the loyal Jets season ticket holders, but it looks like some of our season ticket holders ran away... well its their loss and the Jets WIN!!!

-- sorry if the post made no sense but I am still angry abt the limited crowd noise today

It sounds like there weren’t too many Jets fans there to cheer – which completely blows but I just want to say – I was at the Jets / Jacksonville game last year (god bless me) and it was that dork Tony Bosseli’s big day.

Well – apparently he’s huge for the franchise (Jacksonville) so I gave it up big for him at halftime…what the hell. If Jets stadium was filled with Steeler hacks and they didn’t cheer for a dude like CM – that’s bullshit.

Thats unbelievable.....Jets fans that had season tickets and sat home should not be allowed to have season tickets. Curtis Martin day, you show up. Plain and simple.
As for the Steelers fans, they should have cheered him, he's a Pitt guy. I dont understand. Sounds sad if you ask me.

    Thanks for the memories Curtis.

I was there. It was my first game, so it was hard for me to compare to other games, but the crowd noise was great during Curtis's speech. We were chanting his name and everything.

i was there. the problem with this ceremony as well as the chrebet one earlier in the year is that the jets do them half-assed. they have all these corporate sponsors, they give the guy cheesy gifts (a rolex, which he probably has fifty of, and two first class airline tickets), and they dont give any extra time so the ceremony gets overrun by players running on the field. they even had the nerve to start breaking it down while curtis was still talking. this cheeseball shit that woody does needs to stop. if we are gonna do these things lets do them right. doing them half speed makes the organization look bad and gives fans a reason to not care

I was hoping that CBS would have shown more of the ceremony, but of course they didn't. I'm glad to see Curtis honored, although it was a shame that a majority of the crowd (from what I saw on t.v) was mainly made up of Steelers fans.

Well i was there, i tried selling my tickets. YES ME A SEASON TICKET HOLDER tried selling his tickets. Had a buyer, last min he bailed on me. Anyway im glad he did. Turned out to be a great game! Now i stayed to watch CM during halftime and i cheered. I didnt get why some people were booing Parcells but when Woody came up and give his little bs speech about how the MVP award will be renamed the curtis martin award i booed his cheap ASS. Why? well for one ill never forgive his ass for not trying to find a way to build a stadium of OUR OWN somewhere in Queens or Long Island. And another thing if we're going to have a Curtis Martin day then why not retire his god damn number!!!!!! IF any jet ever deserved his number to be retired CM has to be on top of that list!!

For the posters who feel that people who dont show up or sell their tickets booo fucking hoooo. I can do whatever i want with my tickets! I paid for them and i waited 11 years for them. Im pretty sure no one here has gone to every SINGLE game as a season ticket holder.

That also caught my eye, The man is giving his speech and the god damn corporate sponsors are already breaking down and moving the signs out. Then of course the players start coming out to the field. He deserved more respect then that. Fuck you WOODY.

The problem is that the time allowed for halftime is strictly regulated by the NFL because of the networks. For once, this isn't Woody's fault.

Ok i understand that, maybe, they should have done it before the game. And if they were worried that not many fans would be in their seats then announce it and im sure Jet fans would arrive to their seats earlier to see it. Listen another thing i cant stand about Jets manag. is retire the guys number fuck this bullshit honor. He doesnt need a rolex and 2 free first class plane tickets. For GODS SAKE the man is thinking about buying a team! LOL did they really think they were doing him a favor by giving him stupid gifts. The best gift in the world would have been his number to be retired TODAY!

complete BS. curtis is the most humble superstar i have ever seen. A real workhorse and genuine good guy. The jets should have just retired his number right there. 2 ROUND TRIP AIRLINE TICKETS? WOW i guess they call them the jets for a reason

were u there? cause steelers fans did cheer. there was rain and snow surrounding the place most stayed home. The Jets are horrible so they probably sold the tix for double value on ebay. Martin day should have been week 1
