I thought this was really cool, I know Evan Prall pretty well. I went to almost all of the ESU games during his career, since it is the area college, and I spent a good portion of high school going to Pocono Mountain. I had even said hi to him the other day during his class while visiting the school!
It would be pretty crazy if he made the team, I've never actually known any professional football players during their careers:smile:

    Great, a substitute teacher...

    Eureka baby! Canton or bust!

Somewhere, Bill Bellichek has soiled his pants, as he thinks of the day in the not too distant future when Evan Prall will completely dominate his defense, sending the defense home in tears and wiping away all hope of the "Perfect Record."

I like the thought of an underdog making the team on a long shot. He will play hard all the time because his job is on the line. Good luck to him.

A lot of kids from my high school end up playing for ESU. We have a kid on our team right now, who is I think from Pocono Mountain West.

^Booo west... what is your school?
Aha, you underestimate him, he happens to be not just any old sub, but a long term substitute! Not to mention helping coach our team to a 2-8 season.

Yeah we shouldn't take a chance on small school kids since they never amount to anything.

Remember Wayne Chrebet from the football powerhouse of Hofstra University? Sometimes it pays to take a chance on a long shot.

Easton, which we lost in double overtime in the snow in district playoffs to Hazleton.

the trouble is with these long shots you spend some time, money, and effort trying to find these guys - and they rarely work out, nonetheless make the team.

it makes you wonder if the resources given to these guys, though relatively small, might be better suited for the high powered top 50 college guys to do even more due diligence on them.

possible case in point - bryan thomas.... if the jets spent a little more research time on him and maybe less time trying to find a darn 2nd day bargain tackle maybe they would have realized thomas did not project well at DE at this level.
