His stats arent huge but hes showing great in game management.

I'm also pleasantly suprised with his ability to run the football

yep, he's mobile. Picking up yards and making plays where chad would've gotten sacked or thrown it away.

    What I like, so far:
    - Being able to read defenses, pre-snap.
    - Strong arm.
    - Quick release.
    - Mobile, and capable of throwing lasers on the run.

What I don't like, so far:
    - Tendency to stare down WRs.
    - Holds on to the ball too long, needs to learn to get rid of it.
    - Accuracy down the field is a bit inconsistent.
    - Decision-making not all that keen yet. Needs to stop throwing into coverage when defenders are in his grill.

    All in all:
    - Helluva better option than Chad at this point. Rock on, KC.

your eyes are deceiving you. I thought Chad Pennington is the only QB in the league that can mange a game because it is impossible to have a strong arm and make good decisions. I thought it could only be one or the other.

I think right now you might be able to chalk the drops up to lack of chemistry, his passes are much different to get used to than Chad's.

I agree with your likes/dislikes completely. Whats great is that 3 out of 4 of the likes are god given. All of the dislikes are coachable and tend to come with experience.

Due to speed, and power, and lack of super touchness?

Very good showing but he needs a more wide open offense, as we become too predictable at times.

I thought a big arm = wins. With that thought process big arm = 0-2

If Chad played the exact same game you would all be calling for his head because the offense only put up 10 points today!

I do agree with the KC lovers that we need to see what this kid has or draft another QB. I am with you all on that point. I actually hope he does great. I want the Jets to win football games.

He actually reminds me a lot in size and arm strength of Richard Todd and most of you did not like him. So we shall see.

I just want to make sure all you KC lovers grade these games the same as you did for Chad. If that really is the case you would be upset with the offense having a ten point game and somehow you need to blame KC for the deffense not holding the lead as you use to blame Chad. I am just holding your boy to the same fire that you all held Chad.

Do us Kellen Clemens lovers get to grade on a curve considering that this is his 2nd career start? Cause he looks better than Penny already and its surprising to see the wideouts let down the QB rather than the other way around

He seems to have the gunslinger aspect about him, where he's looking to challenge the defense on every play.

I really like his mobility although he skitters like a crab, kind of running sideways most of the time.

Seemed to me that's because he kept looking for a pass even once he was moving.

He does it when he drops back also. He has a very interesting way of moving his feet. At first I thought it was happy feet, but it's not, it's just a slightly different running mechanic than usual.

Flutie always ran funny also, and no I'm not suggesting he's got Flutie's escapability because nobody does (or likely ever has.)

Images....the problem is that the KC lovers blamed Chad for everything about this team's performance and that is B.S.

I hope KC is awesome, I really do. I am just responding to all the "Chad is whole reason this team sucks debate."

What did we see today? A 10 point offensive showing??? We lost another lead??? Another loss???

Maybe it is Chad's fault because he wasn't holding the clipboard correctly!
