Mike Vanderjagt, who was not welcomed back to Indianapolis this offseason despite being the most accurate kicker in NFL history, has agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys, an NFL source confirmed to SI.com Terms of his deal with Dallas were not known, but Vanderjagt visited the Cowboys on Wednesday and agreed in principle to a contract that is expected to be completed and announced at some point Thursday http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/football/nfl/03/23/vanderjagt.cowboys/index.html
Parcells is going lose the remaining hairs on his head dealing with TO and Vanderjagt. He will be in Saratoga with Francesa by next summer
Vanderjagt signs with Cowboys Per KFFL, Vandy will sign officially with the boys today. Just for your info
haha more drama queens on the cowboys that team i promise u all will have the worst season in their history
I love this signing for the Boys. Anyone who has watched them over the last few years know that they have never had any sort of kicker they can depend on the slightest bit. Vanderjagt isn't great, but he's SO much better than anything else they've had.
They are going to have the worst season ever due to the fact that they just acquired arguably the best WR in the NFL and the highest percentage FG kicker ever? They'll be 11-5.
People seem to forget that. I mean, look at Keyshawn for example, quietly, he's matured as a person under Parcells. There is no room for ego on BP's teams.
Agreed... at this point it's equal between the Redskins, Cowboys, and Giants. You can laugh as much as you want but the Big Tuna will get them all to behave down there and trust me this team will be great... and TO will have 80 catches with 10 TDs down there this season. The only problem is Bledsoe isn't going to want to throw to anyone else...
Mostly because Fat Bill's ego is the biggest ego in the room. As far as Keyshawn maturing, I can't say I fully agree with that. BP always indulged Keyshawn in his way. Who knows why, because BP was never one to indulge anyone. Remember when that fat b*stard Parcells kicked Chrebet in the ankle in the lockerroom to "make sure" he was really hurt (after WC hurt himself tripping over the down marker chain to make a catch)? I hate Parcells, but I digress. I just think Keyshawn respected Parcells more than anyone else in his football travels. Doesn't mean he's the least bit mature (see chewing out Bledsoe). Once a big mouth, always a big mouth. EDIT: Where's Sundayjagt? Hehehe.
2006 is going to be a year of high comedy in the NFC East. They'll all be competitive, I think, but the quotes are going to be sensational. I'm not one for buying into TO-Ultra-Hype, but I want to see these fireworks.
Since they were 1-15 in 1989, I will guarantee that this is not true. In fact, I agree with most of the other posters who think that the Giants, Cowboys, and Redskins could all easily win at least 10 games in 2006.
Yes, I must say I'm rubbing my hands together in anticipation over the drama that's in store. Imagine if this scenario were possible: a loose-lipped liquored up kicker spilling team talk, two big mouth WRs clawing each other to pieces, a fat ass megalomaniacal HC popping blood vessels. You couldn't script it any better. I can just see the veins in Parcells' neck twisting and bulging like ropes. Ah, joy - even without Keyshawn and T.O. on the same team, I will laugh with glee if Parcells pitches face first onto the field. Not that I want anything healthwise to befall him, but to see him stress out to the breaking point would give me give me the warm fuzzies - after they beat out the Giants, of course. That's what I hate about that Nancy Pants Division: I have almost equal venom for both teams, but I always wind up having to root for the Eagles (yechhh!), Dallas (yeccch!), the Redskins (yeccch!) in the end because the Giants, I just can't have it.
My dream scenario as well was for Keyshawn to stay in Dallas for this. Oh well, shattered dreams of a Jets fan. Put another penny in the jug.
