I just traded Jones Drew to get Maroney. I think he will play a larger and larger role in the offense as the season wears on.....inclement weather, and other teams dropping into coverage should really help his production.

You know I think 1,000 yards isn't what it used to be. They play 16 games now. 1,000 yards was a benchmark 30 years ago. There really is no excuse for a starting RB to not get 1,000 yards. Its 62 yards a game.

I don't even think it's a matter of Jones' cut and run style or whether or not he'll break a 1000. Clemens coming in will hopefully bring a whole new world to the JETS' offense. The D can't stack the box and the D backs can't creep up to blitz and jump routes because of Clemens' arm. This vertical threat we hope to have will seem like the sea (running holes) is parted from Jones' perspective. On a highly optimistic view, I think Clemens helps out Jones more than anyone.

PS - Coles is already upset knowing Cotchery is going to get more looks...and I think he should be because Cotch deserves the attention and will be putting up some nice numbers here on out.
