Pennington will be a backup somewhere. Best he can hope for is that the starter goes down and he gets a chance to win the job. I truly believe that he is finished as a starting QB in this league.

I think he'd be great on one of those ESPN NFL shows. At least then Steve Young couldn't comment on how bad he sucks any more.

He'll be starting here in 2008. Mark it down.

Unless he has some sort of undisclosed injury this season, he has proven he can win games with a good supporting cast. I think he will get a shot somewhere, but by no means be the starter, going into training camp of some team. Even with his limitations, he is better than some of the starting QB's currently in the NFL.

Not sure what his cap hit will be next year. If it's still too high he will definitely still be here, if not he has little trade value so he will probably be cut. As Tuialphabetsoup is not the future as a backup here that means we have to sign, trade for or draft another QB next year.

Why would KC take him? Huard has been doing fine and they have Croyle for the future. Why the hell would the Pats start him? I mean that one is just absurd. And the Steelers? Again, why would they sign him?

I think Chad could be very good for the Vikings. I think they have a really good O-line, and Peterson looks phenomenal. Their defense is also good enough. But giving up on a new QB is the surefire way to never get a great one, so we'll see what they do. Jackson has only started 8 games in his career, very few NFL QBs look good in their first 8 games during their first 2 years in the league. You need at least around 30 games or so before you can be declared a bust. Most QBs make a huge jump in their third full year of starting and then play at a really high level from then on.

    Quarterback...

    At Chicago,
    Detriot (after Kitna)
    Atlanta?
    Jacksonville?
    Baltimore?

There are a number of clubs that may be looking to move to new quarterbacks at the end of the season.

Chad is Joe Namath 1977, he will get picked up by some team that's a QB away, be unimpressive get a couple of starts and go back to the bench and be cut in a year or two.

That is about as close to a Namath comparison as Chad will ever get.

He'll be in ESPN's starting lineup next year as commentator for NFL on Sunday.

I just meant he is better than any QB on that roster.
