well, we all finally got what we longed for at least a few weeks......now its time to see how many of us truly need powerful psychotropic drugs to cope with the QB situation.

you folks thought CP was hard to watch, just wait, KC is going to have some serious maalox moments - especially against the stingy defenses yet to be seen on the schedule.

However - the most important thing to withness is progression from game to game. throw away the QB rating it will be fugly at times. but there will be plenty of passes made that CP can only dream of and thats what will make the transition pay off - most notably the second half of next year.

get ready for the 15 of 33 days, sub 200 yards, and 1-2 ints. even marino and favre had a few head rollers. IMO - this guy is the real deal and can make all the throws. now its time to put the experience together with the talent.

let hope there isnt too much Maalox involved....showing any kind of promise for next year is icing on the cake...right now, a loss is just another step closer to getting KC valuable experience for next season....

    not to mention draft position...

    LETS GO JETS!

Hey now maybe I can watch the offense without being distracted by something way more interesting like say ants fucking on top of the bar.

The last few Sundays it has been ant porn FTW.

We are about to see how truly bad our receivers are since bread basket homo throws are about to be a thing of a past. Once again – in the three of four throws I saw him make yesterday, after Manretard put him in a horrible situation, at least two balls smacked right through the hands of receivers.

Hope they can adjust to catching a ball that has been thrown with some velocity and at their hands.

Don't really understand this statement. Our receivers are not bad at all. I believe Coles had 90+ catches last year, and Cotch had 80+. With Pennington throwing to them. I do think that they definitely will have to adjust to a hard thrown ball.

with the team we have starting clemens should give us a better chance because of his ability to go down the field... to tell you the truth our defense sucks and the running game is too inconsistent... throwing downfield is our only chance .... that was the real reason we are starting clemens...

I agree. Even McCareins (gulp... why wasn't he still handcuffed to the steam pipes in the basement of Giants Stadium?) held onto Clemens' pass.

Seriously, I've seen Clemens in person (both summers at TC) and I think you guys have elevated his arm to some kind of supernatural level. Yeah, when you first see it, compared to watching Penny throw, it looks like Superman is out there. But his balls really have average or slightly above average NFL velocity on them. He does have a quick release.

I really miss Chansi Stuckey and wish he were healthy now, because I'd love to see him on the roster and get some time. Him and Clemens ahd begun a little chemistry back in August that I'd love to see develope. Now there's a kid who can take any heat Clemens gives him and still make the catch.... great hands and really good speed. Reminds you of a surer-handed Santana Moss, only more of a north-south guy after the catch instead of ducking for the sidelines.

Yeah Scouts said his arm-strength was average to below average. Really makes you wonder what Chad's is considered.

Yeah ? that didn?t really come out right now that I re-read it; I meant more that we will see what we have in our receivers; they will have to be able to adjust to catching with their hands and to a ball with some nuts behind it.

Point is we don?t really know what we have because IMO they have never really had a QB; (Chad lofts the ball on a nice gentle arc into the bread basket ? sort of how I throw a ball to my seven year old daughter) if they can adjust great, but I wouldn?t be overly surprised to learn that their a bunch of stone hands Becht?s.

I think to get two weeks of practice with KC can only help.

I understand what you were trying to say now. I think that you're going to see our receivers yards after catch go up, cause they're not going to be waiting on the ball. But most importantly, teams are going to have to respect the deep ball. With that being said, I think the running game will improve. And when I say the deep ball, I don't mean Chad having Coles singled up on somebody and lobbing it up to him for 50 yards. I mean that Clemens can hang it on a rope for a 25 to 30 yard crosssing pattern where Pennington's crossing patterns were 12 to 15 yards and still had some arc on them.

I had the chance to meet Ron Jaworski at a golf tournament in South Jersey over the summer. He raved about Clemens, his arm strength, and what a good pick he was for the Jets. I don't know about you guys, but I think Jaws is one of the best guys in the business when it comes to breaking things down. But if you remember, Clemens stock dropped in the draft cause he broke either his leg or ankle his senior year, and couldn't put any velocity on the ball at the combine. Right after the Jets picked him in the second round, they were talking on ESPN about how they hated him at the combine. They said he just couldn't make the throws at the combine. They went on to say that after watching him on tape, they loved him and realized he had a poor performance at the combine because of his leg injury hindering him from using his lower body to put the velocity on the ball

There are a number of divergences of scouting reports on his arm strength. part of the reason for this was that he broke his ankle in his junior year which affected him striding into the throw. However, most rank his arm strength at above average and a little below cutlers. To say he has no arm strength is incorrect.

Not many people have favre like arm strength..I mean, obviously there's a problem with guys' like chad who can't throw an out route with any velocity...but guys like Brady and Manning don't have great deep balls.

No less of an adjustment then having to learn to levitate in the air of 10 to 20 seconds untill the ball arrives, al the time know the DB has a 15 yard head start to hit you at full sprint.

The main reason the scouts said that was he had a bad ankle injur and couldnt put nearly all his velocity into the throws so the reports are discouraging considering he was injured now he is 100% and no way in hell his arm strength is below average , its most definately alove average.

very true, they finally have a QB with an arm, don't blame KC when these guys have problems catching his passes.
