I have to tell you I was impressed with the turnaround last year. I think both these guys let the modest success go to their heads. Tannenbaum said that in order to get the Revis deal done there was such a small landing spot that the deal required complex negotiations. Yeah, well it turn out that we got burnt on his ingenuity to create that deal and as the other poster alluded to will probably loose Revis in 4 years. As for Mangini, he has quickly burned his currency with fans, the media, the players and other coaches in the NFL. The guy who was featured on the Sopranos would be hard pressed to get an assistant coaching job now. I just hope this is a wake up for the both these guys and that they fall on their sword and make amends. I think they did a good job in last years draft and just hope that Tannenbaum doesn't get cute this year with the money issue. We have so many holes on defense that he is gong to have to unload players and go to Woody and explain that the bank will need to stay open past 3 so to speak. It's sad that the Jet fans deserve better. I look up at NE with envy and admire how Kraft has a take charge attitude giving BB the tools to succeed. The same cannot be said of Woody.
yes all you say is true but there is something else that really needs mentioning which is Man & Tan MUST take the fall for there very, very poor evulating talents vis a vis us vs the Pats since the Pats are many, many levels higher then we are when it comes to the talent & it is there job to insure that we are as competive as they are since we are in the same division as them
we had a lot of cap room this year right? well,to let the pats sign all the FAs they did was very poor imo.
What are you talking about!!!..The Pat's had a TON of great players before Mangini became HC and Tanny GM of the Jets..There's too many to list in order to smack down the arguement..The Pat's only needed a couple of players in FA cause they a had a shitload of great players already there like # 12 ..duh. Jets need alot more then 2 or 3 players and would have been foolish to spend huge bucks on A. Thomas..Moss didn't want ot go anywhere else but NE..Welker and Stallworth were neccesities because Brady was probably demanding it after last year's clown show at receiver.. Pat's built the core team over the last 7-8 years not in 1 freakin year.. Plus they (Pat's) stumbled upon one of the greatest QB's of all time in a 6th rd pick..Without Brady.... Pat's win 0 Super Bowls and you saw how effective their back up QB was last week in Miami...Please
you're right. not signing one of them has really worked out. I guess we'll just follow that plan and hope to draft our needs over the next 7-8 years. it took belichick that long when he took over the pats...oh wait. Hey,we're 1-6. What are YOU talking about?
I think the problem is the Jets never expected the Pats to sign them because it isn't the Pats way. just goes to show you how well our imitating management really knows or understands the very franchise they are trying to copy, which is why they will never emulate their success.
wtf u sick bastard, i hope u rot for that shit... very big man u r posting that shit on a website where kids visit... u fricken homo...
