I want what your smoking. Its not Chad's fault were losing guys, its
    a)the receivers
    b)coaches
    d)o-line
    d)running game
e)hot dog vendor in section 141

We dont owe this mediocre piece of crap anything. He's a hard worker but he fucking sucks. This clown mangini was mister every position is open and will go to the best player suited to fill that position. Will it take two bomb performances after the bye against pittsburgh and dallas to get in this idiots head that Chad is GARBAGE. If i have to root for this man to get hurt to end this frickin era im going to do it. Im not pro Clemns im anybody but Chad

Its a bad year that stuff happens in football you gotta man up and deal with it like the players are and have two options they can either lay down and die and make most of you people happy so you can bitch about how horrible everysingle human entity on this team is or they can toughen up and play this season out hard!

Chad isn't giving up 27.4 points and 377.7 yards per game, Chad isn't calling QB sneaks on 3rd and 1 and, sure as you were born, he isn't sacking himself or slamming Thomas Jones after the hand-off. Our play calling has gone so bland that it could bore most fans into a coma and our defense is a bigger joke than anything you've ever heard that started with "so this guy walks into a bar." I'm not saying and have never said that Pennington isn't making mistakes or costing us games but name me one QB consistetly playing from behind that hasn't. Replacing him with anyone on this roster isn't going to make any difference except maybe for one more intermediate out rout that doesn't end in a pick. Either way we probably end up in the top 5 of the draft. The point I was trying to make is that one player isn't going to make a difference on a team full of so many holes and under-performing players it's almost impossible to tell who needs to simply step up and who needs to start packing thier bags.

BTW, the receivers aside from McCariens are doing great given the circumstances and the hotdog guy in section 141 couldn't be more promt or friendly in his service...and he has a laser, rocket arm.

Sounds like Tom Brady most of the time. No one ever pressures that man.

I totally disagree with this thread. The man who made this thread states that "this is a very talented team". What kind of herb do u have? I'd be happy to have some. Very talented teams don't get off to a 1-6 start. Very talented teams don't let Trent Green pass for 300 yards and let Trent Edwards have a pro-bowl type day in his first NFL start. Very talented teams don't let Kenny Watson rush for 130 yards and 3 TDs. Talented teams aren't 26th in passing yards allowed per game, 28th in rushing yards allowed per game and 25th in rushing offense. We are 29th in sacks and would be DEAD LAST in the league if teams ranked 30, 31 and 32 didn't already have bye weeks. We lost 6 of 7 games and the only victory was to Miami, by 3 points. So this is not a talented team, at all.

Back to the other parts about this thread...

I believe we should have traded Pennington at the trading deadline and got something for him. Most likely, he will be released in the offseason and we will get nothing for him. Miami gave up a 4th or a 5th rounder for old man Trent Green, after being destroyed last year with that concussion. We could have gotten the same, if not more for Chad Pennington. Sorry Chad, but you will be released or traded in the offseason.

The Vilma topic gets me so angry. He was my favorite player during his first two years on the team, but now he is invisible. If we do not switch to the 4-3, then trade Vilma in the offseason. He is WORTHLESS and a complete WASTE in the 3-4. HE IS FIFTH ON THE TEAM IN TACKLES THIS YEAR AFTER LEADING THE LEAGUE IN TACKLES HIS ROOKIE YEAR (IN THE 4-3). That really, really sucks. If we do not trade him in the offseason, after next year he will be a free agent and he will sign with somebody who plays the 4-3 and get paid a lot of money. I know the injury to him lessens his trading value, but I believe we can still get a late first rounder for him, a high second rounder at worst. So I like the idea of trading Vilma this year, before he leaves after next year and we get nothing in return for him. It would be retarded to keep him.

J-Mac, screw him. Released in the offseason. Hopefully released when I wake up tomorrow morning.

D-Rob would be a solid 4-3 DT, but Mangini refuses to change the scheme. We should throw his ass at 3-4 DE position and keep him for DLINE depth. Even if we wanted to move him, it would be almost impossible. If I'm not mistaken, he is one of the top paid DT's in the league. We traded 2 first round picks to move up for him and he just hasn't worked out the way we wanted him to. Number 4 overall draft pick and no production, I'd say that's a sure bust. But I'd like to keep him for DLINE depth and put him at DE.

Brick has been improving as the year has gone along and I know buildling a franchise left tackle takes time, but IMHO, he is not worthy of the number 4 overall pick. Obviously, I dont want to get rid of him, but if he doesn't work out, I am going to be sooo angry.

And for the fire Mangini part, that will not happen. But this year, he has SUCKED as a coach. He runs the wrong scheme and that is killing us. In my opinion, Pennington should have been pulled after the Giant game, DEFINATELY after the Eagles game, and I still believe he should have a clipboard in his hand.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to comment on this. Sorry, but most of the fans suck. I'm at the Jets-Pats game earlier this year and I'm screaming my head off for that "so-called" D we have and people behind me telling me to sit down and stop yelling. I'm watching a Jets game earlier this year (Eagles game, I think) and the broadcasters were saying how its a shame how the Jets fans aren't loud and are not helping their squad. It sucks to say because it will always be true, but we will never be as good as Giants fans.

We have a lot of holes on this team. It looks like we will have a top 7 pick in next year's NFL draft. We already got a 4th for Pete Kendall, and if we trade Vilma, there is another very high draft choice. So let's fill those holes with some quality draft picks and a solid free agent acquisition or two.

Thought I'd stop by to say hello and wish you a good game on Sunday, but I see your boards look like ours did a few weeks ago, so stop with a hello. Know how us Bills fans felt and you don't need anybody needling you at this point. Lighten up guys, it'll get better.

We are not sure, yet by a long shot. If you have any running backs on your team that really have not done anything, this is the week to play them. They would be almost guaranteed 100+ yards on the ground.

At least your coach had the sense to bench your Qb. We have to suffer through three more weeks of Chad!

Our record would imply that our front office / coaching ataff knows nothing about football.

Losing sucks and if the fans want to hold players accountable, more power to them. When Penny throws an interception in the final two minutes, it is natural to wonder if KC would have made that completion or at least thrown the ball away.

First round picks are extremely valuable and using them wisley is what separates superbowl champions from the teams watching the playoffs from home. Players chosen in the first round (or acquired with a round two pick like J-Mac) will take a lot of heat when they fail because intelligent fans know that the valuable pick used to acquire them could have been spent elsewhere to fix other holes on the team.

I would say that the fans on this board may not know as much as some of the professionals but they know plenty about football and are especially when it comes to the Jets.

Right on the button (except for the fact that Pennington has no arm).
