A: Frickin' Waffle House Just got this from CBS: So what the fczk is going on? -Is he really not sure? -Is he just playing games w/Buffalo? -Does he really still believe CP gives us the best chance to win? -Does KC suck more than we know? -Is he saving KC for some other unknown reason? I still support the Mangenius, but WTF...it's not like we have a salvageable season.
So I gave 5 possible reasons for the waffling...does anybody else have any ideas as to why Mangini is playing it like this or is this just a crappy topic that nobody likes?
Dude, I think everyone is tired of hearing nothing, and seeing the same results. It doesn't matter why Chad continues to start, it's just pissing everyone off now. Honestly, I think all along Mangini has truly believed Chad gives him the best chance. Is that because of Shotty? I don't know. Is it because of the supposed lack of confidence in his training programs leading to disgruntled players? Maybe. Regardless, Mangini is writting his own pink slip in this town if he doesn't change his act. I'm still on his side, but it's clear the media doesn't like him. At some point, he's either got to be more forthcoming with information, or show some results on the field.
Oh, and he'd probably have to be White Castle. When you're starving at the end of a long drinking binge (Herm) they seem like such a good idea. By the time you're done, you feel sick (Chad), realize it wasn't the best option (Westhoff), and you're just hoping the inevitable shitstorm goes quickly so you can get to bed and relax (Clemens).
ur topic title makes people -> Mangini has zero loyalty to CP, people forget in training camp last year it was an open competition that Chad won. With the surprising 10-6 season, Mangini gave him the starting nod this year because he earned it. With this years disaster, and some weak flashes from KC, you would have figured KC would have gotten the nod already. Obviously there is something he sees in KC he does not like or is not comfortable with. At this point the season is lost, no reason to stick with CP, yet Mangini will not make a decision. He knows something us so expert fans do not. But like Herm says, "You play to win the game." If he thinks CP still gives the best chance to win, then he will go with him and it should give us fans something to think about why in Mangini's mind CP > KC -- that does not bode well for the Jets future.
Why would Mangini say anything about who any of our starters are? It gives us a slight advantage making Buffalo prepare for two QBs. I mean he learned from Bellicheat who has listed Brady as "probable" for the last 5 seasons.
Who are you? Oh, btw, if Mangini saw something in Clemens he didn't like, he wouldn't have played the entire Baltimore game when Chad was clearly able to come in. He also wouldn't have left the door open for change this week. While intelligence isn't a requirement of posts, it couldn't hurt. You should try it. Seriously.
I was about to say the same thing... Dont worry Alio, whenever a random "once in a while" poster calls you out, you can always respond with, " Do you know who I am?" Im the Rick James of TGG, bitch!
Make a stupid comment like you did and expect one back. So master of all things NYJ why isn't KC starting after according to most of you, Chad is not fit enough to play high school football?
I made a sarcastic comment in response to your stupid comment. Big difference. And who the hell said I was master of all things NYJ? The only thing I was pointing out was that you were speaking like you know something none of us do, when it's pretty clear you don't. You said, and I quote: Pennington is still starting because he earned it? Really? So... 1) naming him the starter coming into this camp, 2) steadfastly refusing to take the reigns from him even early when he wasn't even throwing passes in preseason, 3) the fact that Chad couldn't break a crystal chandelier if he nailed it squarely with a football, and 4) the stories we've seen come out that Mangini's afraid to drop Pennington because he's scared of the locker room backlash, ...none of that could have any bearing on Chad still starting? It just has to be his skill, right? OTOH, in terms of Clemens, his singular start this year, and the fact that he hasn't played another snap since is a clear indication that Mangini has seen something in Clemens he doesn't like. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? Oh wait, you quoted Herm Edwards in your post. Nevermind.
It's called an opinion, that is what message boards are flooded with on a daily basis. I was simply trying to make a rationale assessment based on my observations of the situation = opinion. And to call someone's post stupid when there are morons posting complete BS everyday is quite classy, bet you cheered when CP was hurt right?
okay i agree driven is wrong in your lil argument, that said having a high post count does not warrant one more or less knowledgable about jets football, when u talk jets football at a bar, do u ask how many posts they have? cmon we are not 12 yrs old
Wait a sec. So it was classy when you told the OP that this topic made people ? Your rational assessment is based on what, exactly? I inferred that your post might lack a bit of intelligence after you made the "oh so wise comment": Very insightful, there. Really. I post BS all day long, and quite frankly, I proudly do so. You could never understand though. And don't dare say I cheered when Chad got hurt. Perhaps if you read a post or two once in a while, you'd know exactly where I stand on that subject. But you know about "most of my posts", don't you? Again, try some intelligence. It doesn't hurt as much as you might believe.
