Swap 'Abe is best' with 'Abe is only useful' and we're in complete agreement.

So what are the Jets gonna do with all this extra cap room? They've only picked up Dwight, Ramsey and Chatham. None of the big corners have signed yet, besides Madison; could they be looking there?

I hope we don't make any stupid moves and overpay and screw ourselves 2 years down the road. If we play under the cap this season, so be it.

In this case they'd probably use a taser.

He doesn't fit in a 3-4 and we could trade him, but why the hell would anyone take his contract and his arthritic knee along for anything?

I agree with your points but to go against it a bit I will have to inform you that Marino was a late first round pick not in the bottom 3rd of the draft...

I also agree that trading a boatload for a QB right now would be stupid but since when is Dewayne Robertson a lot to deal? He is only a boatload literally due to his 320 pound weight.

Hes is useless in the 3-4? Have you seen the man play in a 3-4 formation? I think we should pass judgment after we see what he can do in this system. NE was never solely a 3-4 D under BB. Their are going to be several plays where their are going to be 4 down linemen ex. nickel, dime, plays where they stack the line with 8 or 9 in the box, and goalline. I assure you that we wont be in the 3-4 formation 80% of D plays it will be something more like 50%.

And if everyone above me hadn't ripped you apart enough, why the hell would anyone but Miller be fielding kickoffs next season? Every time he was 1 block away from breaking it for 6 until he finally got a TD late in the year. I think in the past year we have made or kicking and returning games a strength instead of the weakness it has been and everything should remain as it is (unless you are postitive that Miller will never learn how to field punts).

well some here have said this already but at the very least we will have to wait till next season before we trade away D-rob. You have to give the coach at least one year to see what he can do with the players we have. If it doesn't work then I can see us trying to unload D-rob next offseason.
