He already got his pass for one after the Baltimore game. He should have caught it and it very well might have been a TD. Since everyone on this site needs to pass blame, he absolutely deserves some.

i think the reason you havent seen it is because we all believe what you just said.

coles is without a doubt one of the best players on this team and without his hardcore style we wouldnt have won nearly as many game as we did last yr.

the guys earned a drop or two in my book.

your talking about the ball thrown at the ground in which he had to stretch out for?

No, I'm talking about the ball that hit him in his hands in stride with maybe one man to beat..

I think Coles is a great reciever. However, I am not convinced we dont need a bigger body at the number 1 reciever slot.

A bigger body receiver might not be better than Coles, Coles plays big for his size

lol we dont need to put a bigger body at the 1 slot. but we do need to draft a big reciever cuz cotchery is the only one on the team with real measurable size.

plus we need a replacement for coles, and since recievers take time to develop we should draft a 1st-3rd rd prospect within the next 2 years. let him compete with stuckey and smith for the slot in the future and whatever happens happens

on a side note i cant believe were starting to question his performance. throw a qb in there who can let coles use his speed on intermediate and deep routes.

When you have a big body at reciever then you force the DB's to change their coverage schemes. Especially in man to man. We have been missing this since KJ left.

Early Doucett might be a great fit for this team.. but we need a glenn dorsey or howie long's son, whatever his name is to fill bigger needs

I think we tend to give Coles a lot of 'passes' on drops, because he makes so many spectacular catches, it kind of makes up for it.... Without Coles' great catches on fade passes, I believe Chad would have either 2 or 3 TDs all year... Additionally, aside from the, on average, 3 wide open PA over the middle passes we complete per game, the ONLY completions we ever have over 15 or 20 yards, are when Chad lofts passes into coverage and Coles goes up to get them....

Honestly, I don't know how many times we can give him a pass, but until he stops making those great catches, he deserves a break...

    His name is Chris.

    And he is a BEAST.

    I'd rather have Dorsey though.

Everything seems to be Mangini's fault now, I guess dropped passes are his fault too.

coles should have caught the 4th and 1 pass too, sure it wasn't easy but he makes that play 9 out of 10 times, that said i will give him a pass bc he is so great at every aspect of his position, i dont know if anyone else noticed but he did a great job of blocking downfield yesterday......by the way glen dorsey would not fit as a dt in the 4-3, okam would be a better fit, and i dont think we should waste any high picks on a wr for a while bc the strides brad smith has made in only his 2nd yr playing wr is fantastic, he is the real deal

We can't blame LC for one drop... how many times has he come down with balls and got SMASHED cause Penny strung him out with a weak duck? There is no telling how good a reciever this guy could be with a QB who could actually hit him in stride on slants and gos...

To be fair, he was hit in stride on a slant with maybe one man to beat and dropped the ball.

Oh, I'm not disputing the fact that this was an easy catch... but this isn't a convo we will be having regularly... players are only human... I don't see the point of bashing someone who screws up once or twice when then execute most of the time ya know?

I think the reason he gets a pass(other then his outstanding play the rest of the season) is because the Jets got into position to tie the game even with the drop. Yes, it was an easy catch and it should've been made but it really didn't have much of an impact on the way of the rest of the game played out.

Coles dropped ball? Watch the replay and you'll see the Eagles defender pulling his jersey before the ball touches Coles...BULLSHIT!!!!!!

How about that 75 yard bomb after the playclock hit 0!!!!!! And then we end up losing by 7
