    Thomas Jones must be pissed

He's having a great game, and then from the two yard line he touches the ball once out of three plays??? This is the first time all year I thought the play calling was terrible. I have been overlooking the "conservative play - I can understand that at times.

Those third and fourth down calls were just ridiculous, especially with Jones running so well.
I missed the press conference. Were these plays addressed?

Never was a problem with the OL, just the play calling and the QB..

bottom line is the o-line really has no physical nature to it, so close to the goal line it rarely gets a push. maybe mangini was trying to catch the eagles selling out the run.

The OL couldn't get the push for a QB dive, let alone a friggin run play.

It's hard to get a push when defenses are stacking the box

Fine don't run it. How bout having some routes in the flat or over the middle. Not just one reciever to the corner of the endzone.

At the end of the first quarter it seemed like Jones was going to go over 200 (76 yards), but it kinda went downhill, and I agree some of that playcalling got me pissed at the end....

As long as we're talking about the O-line, why not give Bender a chance to play.
Wasn't he supposed to be some kind of run blocking phenom?

I know he played left tackle in college and was quickly switched to guard but if we're all screaming for KC to come in so we can see what we've got for next year, why not give this kid a shot at Right Tackle ?

Maybe then we'd have a better fix on draft needs.

On 3rd and 2 was there anybody here or in the entire NFL world that didn't know Chad was going to run a QB sneak. The worst play calling I have ever seen with 3 chances from the 2 yard line with a chance to tie.

who didnt know that "fade left" to coles wasnt comming on 4th and 1? i mean its just insane. i cant take it anymore!

why isnt baker being used in the RZ? he is the most uderappreciated weapon we have on offense.

OK, so this seems the appropriate thread to bitch about Jones lack of use by the CS. He is on fire to start the game and we bring in Leon?!! I love leon and think he's our Tiki in the making, but let's use what we paid for...run TJ until his legs fall off!

He needed to be in there to convert on that first drive. He also needed 3 steady tries to get that extra yard in the RZ. He has the ability. We need to establish our run game as a power game and pounding out that extra yard the old-fashioned way would have accomplished that. Not to mention the momentum would have carried us into the endzone (imo).

Instead, it seemed like we were going for the score rather than pound it 7 times to score and show them who's boss. We paid top dollar for TJ. We know he can do it. This game was a case of getting too fancy with the playcalls. I sure hope our CS wises up soon. I guess its better to get this over with this year, so we can tear it up next year with KC at the helm.

man if i can guess fade to coles in the red zone 4 weeks in a row i think its obvious we need to try something else... not to beat a dead horse. if McDroppins could catch a ball hed be a nice target to go up and get a ball, and baker should also be a go to guy in that area as well. Again, nothing new but at least i got it off my chest.

No, the OL was missing blocks earlier in the season. It has improved steadily, though. We're still an average to slightly above average line, but the situation is getting better. Pressure now frequently comes from blocking problems at TE or a mismatch in numbers. Earlier, however, I saw way too many linemen standing around staring or sitting down.

How about a play action on 3rd down with a pass to a TE or maybe on 2nd down......NOOOOOO! we run the ball right into a pile of players.

Why not spread out the defense with 3 recievers and then run the ball......something different than the same old shit!

Tired of watching everyone else consistly score on the goal line and we can't seem to score.

I agree, we line up in a power set and run the ball then line up in shotgun and throw the ball. That is creativity. One of those goofy rollouts on second down would have got it done.

Lets be realistic. With his salary and Megan Goode as a girlfriend how pissed can he be. probably less than the fans.
