our hometeam advantage = horrible. We are the worst home team in all of sports. Not one person even stands up on 3rd and down. I don't blame the team..the coaches..the QB...the DEF....I blame the fans All of you...you SUCK!!!!! I'll be eatin the rest of my phillly cheesesteaks and watching the Pats game in the parking lot. Really tho....YOU SUCK!!

We are 1-5, 1-4 going into the game, what do you expect? Come complain when we're 9-6 going for a playoff spot like last year....
So the fans standing up on 3rd down and yelling will make the Defense actually tackle, or cover somebody and make Chad throw completions? Show us something on the field and you'd be amazed at how the crowd picks it up. The crowd now is doing the exact same thing that it did during the Walton/Kotite years, they're waiting for something to happen on the field before they start to get into it. Trust me, during the '98 season when Parcells had us playing well and going to the Play-offs, the place was so loud that I felt the concrete under my feet vibrate with the crowd noise. Success will breed success. If you don't believe me, just go to any stadium that has a losing team with a weak defense and you'll see the exact same effect. As for me, I don't see the point of getting up on my feet and screaming at the top of my lungs every 3rd down if the opposition converts 90% of them. Now if this means that I suck, pass over "Muy Grande P----" to me. :wink:
Shouldn't you have been standing up yelling and not posting? Yeah, the fans did suck, but the game is so BORING to watch and the Jets give you nothing to cheer about. There's no hope with this Jets' team on either side of the football. It's sad.
I'm sick of these Jets fans suck threads. First of all we were cheering, theres a difference between cheering and screaming your lungs out. You cant blame people for not screaming their lungs out for a 1-5 team with a coach who is promising he isnt going to change anything. Anyway those who are criticizing the fans right now should go to the games and scream all they want. I'm sure it wont be hard to get tickets anymore.

I can atest to this. I was at the game today and my friends and i were told to sit down on numerous occasions, including the 4th down play in the 4th quarter. These fans seriously make me sick, its terrible.

i dont understand why ppl care so much about the fans screaming. the team is terrible.. who cares.. the whole stadium had become corporate.. its more casual fans then tgg'ers.. to be honest, anyone who posts on a message board about the jetsdoesnt suck, casue they take the time our of their day to keep up with the jets..im sure they cheer at the game.. so no one this mssageboard sux... cept jetbo, jetbo jus tries to sell tix for a ridiculous amount.. but everyone else isnt bad..
Fans that don't cheer are shit. I see it at the Leafs games all the time....business men who come late and their wives who act like they earn the money they spend....
the fans don't call the plays, the fans don't run he plays, the fans don't block, tackle, throw, run , or get paid millions of dollars to play a game for a living. The jets are playing undiscipline sloppy football. Chad limits all play calling to 10 yard outs which means the play action won't scare anyone when the biggest risk you take is giving up a 3 yard out. The fans re quiet because they know that on any given play the jest will not make an impact play - sack, hit for loss, bomb, or game changing play. When the fan can't get xcited about the possibility of a big play it is boring.
They sounded pretty loud for defense actually. On offense they were too busy booing chad (rightfully so)
I'm not sure why some of you are giving the OP a hard time - he clearly posted after the game was over. I understand a stadium may not be rocking for a 1-4 team, but there was actually zero noise on the last third down of the game where had we stopped them we could have had the ball back with a little bit of time on the clock. (Yes, I know it's moot b/c Chad would have thrown a pick to end the game anyway)
