I'll be angry with Chad if he throws the ball away again this weekend, I admit it, but I'm not hoping for him to fail. Way too much season left to wish for that. I want Chad to come out, win, finally help the Jets beat the Eagles, and continue to build on his position as the most accurate passer (highest completion percentage) in NFL history. I want 2007 to be meaningful at least one more week. And then I'll wish for it one more week. If and when the time comes to see what Clemens can do, that will be exciting. But even Clemens won't win every game, not the way this club has been neglected. And when he plays, and doesn't win, how is that going to make you feel. Let's go Chad, pull it together...one week at a time.
Love this thread. I am always pulling for a Jet win. To be honest, on one hand I would love to see Chad to silence the critics one last time and make it a good fight this year. Maybe then next year they start re-evaluating for possibly Clemens after the Oline and Dline gel more, and some more pieces of the puzzle for both areas are braught in. Chad will be 34 (or maybe 33?) I think, and will at least have had played a few full solid seasons that he can look back on and smile about. I mean thats what I want for Chad. I really don't wish to see him get pushed out, or be forced out prematurely. The guy is class, and I could care what others think about him. He deserves at least a few more moments of Jet victory (the best football victory a player could ever have.) in my book. On the other hand if Chad is really done and his arm adds significantly to more losses then I would like the CS and the team to get a feel for Clemens before the draft. It is definately important for this to happen and if we are going to make the switch it needs to happen way before the last game of the season. If we are in fact going to make the switch, then I do want to get clemens as much work as we can this year. After much thought, I have come to the conclusion that either senario would be good for me. Each senario is good in different areas. And even if Chad plays well for the rest of the year and wins some good games, at least Clemens has a great game manager and leader to learn from. Either ways cool with me to tell ya the truth. Looking long term. Have a great Friday!
:jets: This is the game where they show us and the NFL what there all about. You have a bad couple of games ; If your a real team this is the statement game. Show up boys!:eaglessuck:
Cant wait for this weekends game, all is not lost just yet. Was not able to watch last weeks game because i was at uni with no internet access, and everything i have read on the game seems to suggest that Chad only made 1 mistake with the 3 picks, and that the other 2 were just good defensive plays but yet everyone seems to be jumping on him. Anyone who saw the game shed any light on it?
It would be nice to at least keep ourselves relevant for another week....football ending in October sucks gigantic ass
I was there. Chad’s picks did cost us big time. The second they left his hands you could see they were picking’s. Everyone is jumping on Penny because they too know his picks have cost us two games now. The Defense was actually fun to watch (First half) during the 3rd and 4th quarters they began to wear down and the Giants walked right down the field when not stiff arming our corner back to the ground(Insert Dyson here). Once again no run game, it’s all about catch up lately how can they run when they have to throw to make something happen. Let’s kill the Eagles. Lets see we lost to a crow, we beat a fish, we lost to a Bison, we play the eagles; O.K. we already lost to a bird this year so we should be alright.
They are 0-7 against the Eagles lifetime so, I'm just hoping that another curse bites the dust on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Jets, the Eagles are 8-0 after the bye week...
