WOW! The AFC East is really not what it was expected to be. NE at the top (ok, that isn't unexpected) and the other three are the worst in the conference. Anyways, whoever posted this, you're absolutely right! The season isn't over....we still have 11 more games to lose!
Really hard to believe there are still some fans still wearing the greenest possible sunglasses & drinking the greenest possible kool aid. If he is really from Scotland he may not get NYJ games & if he does he must not see Pitt, NE, Dal, TN just to name a few otherwise he would be quieter then a church mouse. He is paying to come here for Sundays game so he has to do something to rationalize his expenses are worthwhile
Please tell me 8 games we are going to win to get us in the Playoffs? Please tell me who will be playing Qb and Defensive Line when we win them?
has anybody thought about the parallels between 2002 and this year? 1-4 after 5 games, struggling veteran qb with a young backup waiting in the wings. we made the playoffs that year so maybe clemens can come in and give us a spark like chad did in '02. not likely but you never know in the nfl. not much separates a 4-12 team from a 9-7 team so a little improvement or spark could get us there.
The season is not over of course. I liked what I saw last wk from the D and the o-line. If we pull chad or chad improves, we can still salvage the season and make a run.
I think your a little out there and need to get back to earth. Have you seen our schedule. Also the fact that our defense and offense stink?
good post, this is the reason y i goto a bar with 0 jet fans bc i am in morgantown,wv which is gay ass steeler country, bc there is ALWAYS an if
This really is dumb... We play New England who is 5-0 We play Dallas who is 5-0 We play Pittsburgh who is 4-1 (or 3-1) We play Washington who is 3-1 That's 4 losses right there kids... Not to mention road games at Cincinnati and Tennessee. Some of you might say, "Oh well Cincy only has one win too", but do you guys think we even have a shot of keeping up with their offense?
I asked if you could say something positive about anything . . . not about the Jets. Just say something you like without reservation. Sex? Ice cream? Please, let us know what brightens up your day.
I didnt even spend the time to finish reading your post or anyone elses. This season is over you jackass. There is absolutely no way they can beat the colts or the patriots. They dont even have a shot against the second tier teams. With a gift from god they could possibly make the playoffs and then miserably lose in the first round. Their defensive line is terrible, their offensive line is terrible, at the moment their qb is playing terrible in important situations, they have a qb controversey, they cant run the ball, they give up too many yards, and right now their on field chemistry is terrible. Even if this team somehow solves almost all of those problems they still arent good enough to win a superbowl. THAT IS THE THING YOU HOPE FOR AS A FAN CORRECT? I have seen the Jets go to the playoffs. I have seen them win a couple games in the playoffs. Im tired of that nonsense. I want a championship. Losing in the first round of this years playoffs or just barely missing them will do absolutely nothing for our future besides keep our offense crippled with Pennington and drop 8-12 picks in the draft. Im so tired of idiot fans being happy with being mediocre or just above that. They have the same mentality as our front office. That is why year in and year out we never contend for the superbowl. That is why no one respects the Jets as a franchise. That is why the Jets fans sit in the stadium and don't cheer as loud as other stadiums. Our FO is not focused or determined to become one of the great teams. So this year, just as every other in recent memory, we will probably win more games then we should (like when we were 4-12 because we beat the Bills and ended up getting D'brickashaw Ferguson instead of Vince Young or Reggie Bush) and end up fucking ourselves in the draft. Then next year we basically have the same team with a crappy mid first round pick. WAY TO SAVE THE SEASON THIS YEAR AND SET OURSELVES UP FOR A FEW MORE SEASONS OF BEING POOR TO AVERAGE. Pack it up and put Clemens in. Atleast if he wins games I would be willing to give up draft spots for the excitement of having a rising young star at QB. Im not willing to give those spots to see Pennington do good one game and then totally take a shit in his girdle the next.
Most JET FAN"S im sorry to say would rather be mediocre than take a step backwards to move forward. They are happy with being mediocre. I said the same thing you said 6 months ago and they all attacked me on this board. Just be happy that your a Knowledgeable Football Fan and not just a Jet Fan.
Now, now you should not be posting that the majority on this board lack FB knowledge. Posts like that will alienate them terribily bringing onto you the same tough love they give me
