Don't expect Kellen to start until week 11 vs Steelers.

If the coach has any guts he will start Kellen over Chad starting next week but he won't. The team will be going nowhere this season so give the young kid some experience and see if he can really be the answer.

The Jets should start Kellen so we know if we need to get another QB next year, but they don't want to give up on the season just yet, which they feel starting Kellen would signify.

Realistically I think Mangini will wait to start Kellen in week 11 against the Steelers. It would be a huge mistake to wait that long, but I don't think Mangini has the testicular fortitude to pull the trigger sooner than that. Waiting would give Kellen two week (by-week) to prepare and take all the snaps for the Steelers defense.

Also, Chad should just say he is hurt and bow out of the starting job. It would take the pressure off the coach and rally the team and press around Kellen more than a QB controversy will.

    Just my thoughts

The thing is werent we 1-4 when Chad took over for Vinny in 2002? I mean a QB change isn't necessarily to say the seasons over, but to try to find another way of winning. Yes, I don't think we will have a repeat of 2002, but who knows? Maybe Clemens can save our season.

If Chad is the leader his acolytes have always claimed he was, he'd step up and voluntarily take a seat on the bench. That certainly would get Mangina off the hook and shake the team up..

    Lets see if that happens..

No, if he was the leader everyone says he is that would be the LAST THING he'd do.

Now, if he's relagated to the bench, if he's the leader everyone says, he'll ACCEPT IT without complaining.

However, if he ever SUGGESTED IT, I'd lose respect for him.

chad gets one more shot next week.
if he fails clemens will start against a weak cinny D
then come home for 2 straight home games(bills, redskins) a bye than another home game(steelers).
thats a good recipe for a first year starter

I think that next Sunday is the day we either start Clemens or start Chad and put Kellen in when the D gives up 3 TDs in the first half....with this fucking garbage we call a defense, it doesn't matter who plays QB, so we might as well see what Kellen has got.

Mangini comes out to his post game press conference and talks about how this team needs consistency. They already are consistent. Consistently bad !!

This team needs a kick in the ass and a shake up. And that starts with sitting Chad and starting KC next week.

No running game. Thats really the bottom line. You can have the "efficient" QB -- when you can run the ball and set up play action. The way this team is set up they cannot rush for 50 or so yards and win.
