Well you have time to write thousand of words in TGG every day. I totally expected the reply you gave since it is exactly the same from 100s of other posters who say I do not "see" all the good things about the NYJs but when you ask them to post those positives what do you get? SILENCE just like you did yesterday. I also think most are forgetting what division we play in & what teams are in our division & if you know anything about FB you have to know that we are as far away from the Pats who just play in our division as Mars is to Earth. Yesiree that is good indicator that our future is as terrible as this year has been to date. It sure does not bode well for a SB championship any time in the forseeable future Also being a season tix holder/NYJ fan since 65 it really upsets me that year after year we field non SB champion teams while others (see Colts/Pats/Steelers) always seem to field true SB contenders. For sure there has to many defects in our organization for this to happen. Remember I felt the glow of VICTORY having been at the AFC championship game in 68 & then SB3. Watching them from that point forward appears to indicate that ownership is not willing now or when Hess owned the team to make the committment needed to be a CHAMPIONSHIP team
The worst part is that the Patriots have already won the AFC east. I really thought the Jets were gonna give them a run for their money this year....What happened?????
How old are you exactly? You are the fan of one of the best teams in the league. A team that is the reigning SB champions. And yet you feel the need to troll a team that is 1-3 and struggling. Do you realize how utterly pathetic that is? What is the matter your life is so shitty you need a confidence boost?
I'm going to post this again and PM you the link, just so there's no mistaking what caused it when you're asked to leave the board. Quite obviously, you're trolling. Contribute something or leave. This is a second warning. There won't be a third. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=655834&postcount=17
I wish to God that we win a championship before I die. I don't give crap about playoffs. That's like kissing your sister. It ain't easy being green.
Everytime I see somebody say: I saw the Jets win it all in Super Bowl III and I haven't seen squat since then, what I think is: I started rooting for the Jets in 1971 and I haven't seen squat. It's pretty pitiful if you think about it. And all you younglings that have been watching the Jets for fifteen years or less, just go away when this conversation starts because you have nothing to add to it that I care to hear.
I also feel the same way....just 4 games into the season and there doesn't seem to be any spark left. That's why something has to change (KC). Looking at our schedule, I can't foresee another definite win. All I hear coming from the CS press conferences is "how we worked on the red zone, or third downs...practice is consistent, yada yada yada" Somebody's got to light a fire under these guys and it doesn't seem to be coming from the top.
While I am one I guess of the lucky ones that did see them win SB3 my window for seeing them win another SB is closing whereas all these young ones or middle age ones still have a open window for seeing a Championship which leads them to have quite difference views from the NYJ fans that have been watching them beginning in the 60s or 70s
I`ve been disgusted with the New York Jets for 23 years, not counting the Shea days. Otherwise make it 38 years.
I have a feeling this thread will not die this year. I?m not even really going to comment on today?s monstrosity...the thread title sums it up.
I agree, Vick. Another game where I get all excited... we're 17-7 at the half and then the Giants score 3TDs in the 2nd half and we respond with only one. Of the 24 points we scored, 7 came on the defensive score after the fumble and another 7 from my main man, Leon Washington. Other than that, Penny had only one drive that resulted in a TD... ONE! He did set up the second FG, so you can say that, through his efforts, he was responsible for 10 of our 24 points. Unacceptable! The thread lives on....
We go to a bar that takes good care of us ? they put the Jets on the main big screen with the sound (this is sort of a big deal in the middle of Buc?s central?especially when they have a winning record). I?m starting to feel guilty that we (Jets fans) are subjecting the rest of the bar to this garbage.
I discount the Shea days because I was not a season ticket holder at that time. Plus I was too young to give a shit about anything in the 60`s. I started cheering for the Jets in 1980 and did hit a few games back then. Not until they moved to Jersey did I become an idiot to the Jets.
As a cornerback, what do you do when a receiver has the ball and is standing a foot away from you? Normally, I'd say hit him as hard as you can. But Barrett and Dyson have shown me the light.
