Herm is thinking right now.... Its unbelievable....mangini? A super saiyan!!!! He and tannenbaum made excellent decisions, for this franchise, the cards he was dealt would make any FO insane. But they pulled it off we are good in the cap department, we got rid of some players that were old or disgruntled, and kept key components, to start the new regime. 2 thumbs up for our FO.
Big tits, long legs, an ass you can grab, a head of hair that feels like silk against your body, a mouth as soft as butter, a vagina that knows how to play mercy with my manhood, and a Ferrari.
i am happy about the trade.. i just hope we can now draft offense and change this franchise around.. please.. vernon davis and deangelo williams and nick mangold!!
am glad we have 2 1st rounders, now we will really see what kind of FO we have. This draft is is critical for both new guys, you really want to start building that foundation as quickly as possible and with these 2 picks we have the leverage to do just that. I really hope mario falls to us, IF NO does not take him at the 2 spot
As said on ESPN: "The Jets get a first-round choice, two spots higher than the one Seattle had offered, in exchange for a player who no longer wanted to be in New York and who the team didn't want around anymore." I think that says it all ;-)
To put things in perspective Daunte Culpepper, considered to be an ELITE QB by some, was just traded for a mid 2nd round pick. Im very happy with #29 for Abe, not the perfect trade, but def. worth it.
it's tax season, and just to put the trade in perspective, just call it" accumulated depreciation!" those of you in a specific "tax bracket" will know what i mean.....
you're an idiot. You can't say all of us are pissed about the move. Some people might be, but some people will always be agaunst certain moves. It is illogical to group everyone together.
This was a good move, but it angers me a bit. Not because of what the final conclussion from the FO was, but because I really liked Abe. It makes me sad inside to know that he did'nt love this team as much as I do. If only he looked better in green, then maybe his heart would've aloud him to remain a meangreen DE. He was a very good athlete, and could've improved so much more in the run game if he put his 100% into it. So much potential to be an amazing NYJ DE. Crap...
Why does it make us happy. I'll try it this way. . .It's like dating a girl for five years. You kind of hope things will work out just right but they never do. And now, after five years, you just want to move on. . . .and as a bonus, you hook up with a hot blonde(29th pick) on the rebound. Sorry. Only way i can think of it right now.
Well, I have mixed feelings about this trade. I have been saying all along that I wanted the Jets to try to work something out with Abe. He is going to continue to be a great DE in the league, and now he will be doing it elsewhere. That said, I have no idea what the behind the scenes info is. None of us do. We can only go by what has been said publicly, and that is that Abe was unhappy with the organization. (Legitimately so.) Getting a first rounder, ANY first rounder, is a clear mark of success for this new regime. They were steadfast in their demands, and in the end, got a better pick than I expected them to. I fully expected the end to be us shipping him out to Seattle. Getting a spot 2 picks higher is pure genius. Now everyone in the league knows what this club is capable of. To review: The Jets have managed to hold the checkbook and not overspend on the FA market. They have parlayed a guy who didn't want to be here anymore into a first round pick, and one that was better than the best offer on the table. They have been dead-silent in every move they've made so far. As I have been saying, this new staff deserves some patience from us. We gave Hermway years to make something happen, even when it became painfully obvious they were driving this bus off the road. So far, this FO/CS combination has done the exact opposite of what we have seen the past few years. I hate to see Abe go, but since it was destined to happen anyway, I'm very happy it worked out like this.
Your a moron!! we did offer him a long term deal last year, he turned it down! just wait, he will start crying sometime next year.
There was no need to disrespect me by name calling. But since you did, I feel obliged to follow suit....You're an asshole. Where in my statement do I group everyone together. The post is directed at those that bitch and complain about every move this FO makes or doesn't make... guess you must be one of those.
Just as a teaser, how's the weather in Miami? BTW, I am very happy with the move. If the old FO crew was still here, incl. Herm, we would have gotten a second or third rounder for Abe. So I am very pleased. I have never liked any football player that started whining, it is a sign that they fail to grasp the big picture. The faster you can unload them, the better.
it is amazing how things have changed over the years. Today it is a good deal when we can get a first round pick for abe and only a few years ago the jets got 2 first rounders for Keyshawn. The times, they are a changing.
85 and not a cloud in the sky my friend. Man, the football team makes me cringe, but Miami's got the honeys and the weather make anyone squirm....
