Serby gets it right for a change. Jets didn't get Schaub and they didn't get the 15th pick in the draft either. Who replaces 10 1/2 sacks. 6 forced fumbles and 3 times Pro Bowl DE who was the Jets best defensive player? http://www.nypost.com/sports/jets/63430.htm
Is there a way to autoignore posters? 'Keeping It Real' would have also made the grade, if he even stayed around after the Abraham deal. Give me a T-R....
Well, yes there is. Go to the User CP link on the access bar. Go to the bottom of the options on the left side of the screen. There you will find edit buddy/ignore list. I don't like to use this because you never know when and where somebody is going to come out with something good.
Well thank you for the responses. I agree with GH, I'd still rather read what everybody has to say. I just wanted to know if it was possible. Someone someday may reach the ignore level, but rajensen still gives me a laugh every now and then.
Regarding Serby's article, anybody can find negativity in anything. I can probably write a negative article about the anticipated second coming of Christ. But as a starting point for his negativity, Serby falsely accuses the Jets of not delaing with Abe in good faith by not offering him a long-term contract. As far as I know, they did offer him a long-term contract. It just wasn't enough, and his cap hit (even franchised) was something we couldn't live with right now either. So to base the "loss" of Abraham by the Jets on false premise is just not honest journalism, for openers. Abraham outlived his welcome here. Somtimes that happens. John needed to move on and so did the Jets. For whatever reason, our new FO and new HC saw enough negatives in keeping Abraham to put him on the block. I'm going to go with that and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Contract negotiations basically stalled early with John because he wanted so much. In the end, the Jets didn't need the disruption, they didn't need the cap burden, they felt we could go other places and do other things with #29 (like pick up Mangold, for example) and I'm okay with all that. Serby doesn't have to manage our team and doesn't have to live with whatever negatives are involved in negotiating with and keeping Abraham on the bench, he simply gets to write negative articles from the relative comfort and safety of his computer armchair.
Serby is such an ahole. He makes Atl seem like they are the Pats or something. When was the last time they won a SB? There is a reason they got the 15th pick. They were not so good either. Then he talks about abe like he is a god, but he doesn't mention all of the injuries. Why does he have to knock our FO and make or entire franchise should lke a bunch of bush leaguers? Hey Serby, compare us to ATL since 97. Who has the better record. Serby is just an a-hole.
