Homerism rains supreme in the first quarter of the 2007 Jets Bets. 78% of voters picked the Jets against the spread. The results? 1 win, 2 losses and 1 tie, with the win coming against the Ravens. On the other hand, 57% thought we score under the line so I'm not sure if that is confidence in our defense or lack of confidence in our offense. Last week was predictably crappy with 62% getting neither the spread nor the over/under correct and only 2 people calling both the bets correctly. This week we will look to avoid the push again with fractional lines. Pessimism is getting out of hand so maybe the bets will reflect that, but I doubt it. How do you feel about the Jets odds against the Giants?
I'd say Giants and over 40 points total. C'mon, Eli will light up our defense and score at least 28 points, if we have any shot of winning we have to score at least 21, so ya i'd say over 40 and Giants.
Its all in the battle of the trenches. Their D-Line will dominate our O-line. And we won't get any pressure on Eli. Game goes to the Giants
I think we win this game (our 9th home game, how sweet is that), but I am torn on the over/under. On the one hand, our defenses aren't very good, but on the other hand, a combiend 50 points was scored in our two games last week. Plus, combined we are averaging 40 points a game, right at the line, on yet another hand, we give up a combined 50 points so maybe the game will be around 45. I have no idea, I went with the over because I expect most teams to run wild on us and lead to a passing shootout but that is a toss up.
Yeah for us. The Giants D has stepped up BIG time and is going to give our decrepid Oline sleepless nights. Whilst Burress is no Moss he will score at will when they're not running it in that is. 1-4 on monday:sad: GJC
First time since week 2 that I've picked against the Jets and first time I've taken the over. I honestly believe this is likely to be a blowout with the Giants scoring 35+ points and the Jets lucky to get 17.
Jacobs/Ward both rush for 100+ yards today and 1 TD ea. Eli throws for another 3 TD`s(Plax getting 2 and Shockey 1). Tack on a FG for the Giants too. Giants win 38 -20(if the Jets can actually get 2 td`s, or it will be 38-13).
