I was 11 and very impressionable once...

I'm reminded of my cousin's wedding in the 90's. He got hitched at a very nice canal-side chateau in upstate New York. As the groom took his place at the lectern doubling as an impromptu altar for the outdoors wedding, a big flat pontoon boat went booking down the canal behind the wedding. Seven guys were leaning on the railing and shouting "RUN! RUN! RUN!"

I could never figure out if they knew him or not or were just reacting to the grand trap laid so openly in front of him.

I will cheer hard until the jets are mathematically eliminated, but unfortunately this is not 2002. We cannot go 9-7 and win the AFCE.

as anaemic as our running game is, and as poor as our OL plays, I still say the offensive ineptness falls on Chad!! The argument that he does not get enough time to find an open guy is invalid I think. If he had a better arm, the receivers could run deeper patterns which would force the defense to back off which would allow the running game some room. I guy with a stronger arm would use the same amount of time given Chad, to get the ball deeper.

How can you not throw the ball into the endzone even once in two 2-minute drills on the opponents side of the field?? I know why, YOU CAN"T!!!!!!!

Personally, I doubt even if that last pass was completed for the Jets yesterday, it would have mattered. They were out of time outs, and still needed to get the field goal unit on the field with only 6 seconds on the clock. Which would have run off if the pass was caught anyway.

I thought NE or Baltimore would kill Pennington in game 1 or 2. After watching the Giants D get 12 sacks against McNabb last night, I am positive they will kill him if Mangini lets him play. If he doesn't they will kill Clemens anyway.

Yeah – this sucks. Mets and Jets fan – I don’t know whose tea I dipped my pecker in to deserve this but it’s looking like a pretty miserable sports year for me again and I’m going to be a miserable prick for the unforeseeable future.

I should probably just stop posting around here as I don’t want my negativity to send the wrong message about my beloved teams…which have pierced so many holes in my heart over the last twenty-whatever years.

they need to shorten the baseball season, the MEts would be NLE champs if the season had ended in August.

As for the Jets. We are gonna need a lot more than a shortened season to make this team look good. Maybe a shortened field would work..

Well then, your avatar really says it all doesn't it?

This season is over. I can't believe how far back the Jets have travelled in the span of one year.

Yeah exactly ? I didn?t buy into last year a whole lot?sort of took it for what it was, but damn?I had some of the most fun watching the Jets than I had in years. Just being in it?having something to chase besides a draft pick. It sucks when pretty much all hope short of a miracle is gone in week four.

I figured we would take a step back this year record wise?figured I would be happy to go 8 ? 8 but see the team improve and maybe even be in the hunt at the buy week ? but this team, this staff is a complete disappointment so far this year. If anything ? we are regressing.

There is not one single aspect of the game the Jets do well. Not one.

Look at what other weak/average teams do against teams we played. Browns to Ravens, Raiders to Dolphins. Bills were giving up 179 yards on the ground, we get what 60? We never exploit weakness in other teams, we play and hope something happens so we win the game. I thought the Chiefs would suck this year, we are an entire level below them, now that is sad. Last year was obviously a fluke and a result of the weak schedule. CS is clueless, no adjustments, poor game planning, ah it's the same ole Jets why are any of us surprised.

Yeah, well that was a hostess creme puff cup cake oppurtunity yesterday and we allowed a horrible buffalo team and a rookie qb to buttslam us back to the stone age. YEEEOOOOWWWW. That's all I can say.

Do we think though for a second that our team was on par with the teams that the Bills lost to before us? We know we are no match for the Patriots, so then are we to think we can compete with Denver, and the steelers? My point is, maybe the Bills looked so bad and gave up son many points as well as rushing yards, and scored so few points because those teams are really good! But with that same logic, our team really stinks and maybe only Miami will be worse.
