    They move up. It's a crazy deal but it works for everyone.

    ATL clearly believes Abe is NOT worth the 15th overall. But he is however worth trading DOWN in the first round. The 15th overall is worth 1050. The 23rd (760) and 29th (640) are worth 1400. So really the Falcons got the better end of the deal there by 350. 350 is the value of the 55th overall pick. You are getting the 29th overall pick.

    Making Abe = 29th - [(23+29) - 15th]
    Abe= 290
    Abe= 61st overall (29th 2nd round)

    So. At the begining Jets had 290, Broncos had 1400, and Atl had 1050.
    Now Jets have 640. Atl had Abe (290) + 23 (760)= 1050. And Broncos have 1050.

    So really Atl made the a super square deal, value wise. It's the Broncos betting 350 (1400 they had minus 1050 they no have) that the whoever they pick 15th overall would not have fallen to 23, and the Jets are the ones that are cashing in on that bet with the 350 (the 23rd second rounder).

    So to sum it all up, Broncos made a bet with Atl, if broncos win they get a 350 from Atl. If they lose they give the 350 to NY. NYJ traded Abe to cash in for ATL.

    BUT ONE THING TO REMEMBER!!!!
    At the end April, none of this really matters. 1st, 2nd, 3rd rounder. Becuase any player drafted by any team can be a bust. So for all you know you got gold (a big time player) for Abe or you got squat (a bust) for Abe. At the end value doesn't matter. Who ever got the best end and worst end of this deal will not be known untill well after this draft and the players drafted WITH these picks play in the NFL.

    Everybody wins in this scenario because when the Falcons trade Schaub next year they will get a 1st rd & 3rd pick. Bank on it...unless his values drop. The will get their pick next year with Schaub. Alsom they might still trade Duckett.

    They know exactly what they were doing

    Just happy it's over and done with. Now Abe can do his Hudini act with the Falcs.

    I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad trade, but still, Abe proved himself to be an elite pass-rusher. We drafted him with the 13th pick and in return we get a 29th?

    It's a good trade considering the depth in this draft. But nonetheless, we still traded an elite, proven player, for a low first round pick.

    And the Jets didn't?? Besides who in their right mind would want Duckett.

    I hope we dont trade the #4 and #29 for the #2

    last time we traded #12, #22 and 4th rnd for a #4 pick. Expectations didnt work out like we all hoped. Teams value their own picks higher now also.

    I dig it. I don't want to move off of #4, tho. At 29 and 35 we can solidify center and RT for a decade. It would be kind of early, but I'd love Andrew Whitworth at #35. Obviously Mangold at 29.

    Looks like everyone's happy, so I'll call this a win-win-win situation.
