I would trade up to #2, but if we stayed at these positions... I would take Jay Cutler/Mario Williams at #4 and Nick Mangold at #29 What I really want is to package #4 and #29 for #2 overall and draft Matt Leinart.
Cutler/Mangold sounds appealing. I wouldn't trade up for Leinart, because I think we are better off spending 29 on OL.
Mario Williams at 4 Mangold at 29 We really need to address both lines, especially since we just lost a Pro Bowler on each. We may end up seeing Brodie Croyle sitting there at 35, and I wouldn'e be opposed to taking him.
I don't want Mangold, I'd rather get Eslinger in round 3. I would go Mario Williams/Laurence Maroney if we're playing a 4-3 defense and if we're playing a 3-4 I'd trade down for Vernon Davis and then take Maroney at 29. Another option at 29 if Maroney's not there is Mathias Kiawanuka if we don't take Mario at #4.
Even though i like Croyle alot isnt 35 a bit high on Croyle or has his stock risen? I think id rather get another OL or RB Addai?
Hard decision, two options (if we stay). #4 DeAngelo Williams #29 Sinorice Moss #4 Mario Williams #29 Laurence Maroney That's what I feel is best for us. I have a feeling Mangold will be there early in the 2nd anyway. And if not, we go another direction with the OL. But Moss is just to good to pass up at #29 when we need an explosive reciever, bad.
Leinart may fall to us at 4. DO NOT take DBrick 4th overall, we can grab any of the rest of the OL class with the 29th and 2nd round picks.
At worst Brodie is a early third rounder IMO...alot of people raved about his interviews at the combine...
it looks like we might get OT the FA route... so I say we get Mario Williams but he will be gone. so after that I want Hawk, but they will probably draft Cutler the Jets never draft players I want. At 29 Mangold would probably be good enough but who knows there are 28 choices before that and the draft is 5 weeks away.
