Johnny Lam Jones, despite his speed, ALWAYS jumped in the air when he caught a ball, which slowed him down considerably.

Great post. Freeman was a warior with unbelievable turns to avoid tackles, he could also be so direct up the gut.

Wes Walker was my gym teacher. (Kings Park) Nicest guy you'd ever hope to meet. His eye really creeped me out though- It follows you around the room.

This is rather sad. I was just googling him to see if he had won an olympic gold as I remembered and he did.

"Johnny “Lam” Jones, one of the most dynamic players ever to compete for the Longhorns, has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the blood and bone.

Jones, 47, was a two-sport star at Texas. The summer after he graduated from Lampasas High School in 1976, Jones earned a gold medal as part of the U.S. 400-meter relay team at the Montreal Olympics. After his football career at Texas, the New York Jets made him the second overall pick of the NFL draft in 1980. "

It was from almost 2 years ago.

He ran a 9.85 hundred and competed on the gold medal winning 4x100 olympic team. Nobody else on the Jets ever came close to his speed. He actually did play football at Texas contrary to popular belief and was all SWC 2 years in a row with 8 TDs of over 45 yards. He was suppose to be the Jets answer to Bob Hayes but never came close.

One of a very short list of Longhorn HOFers.

quickest would be your acceleration, your burst. moreso agility and move ability too.

and fastest is obviously top speed.
