The fact that hes a rookie and nobody has really tried to go after him since preseason says a lot. This team has not had a top corner since Aaron Glenn, and Im thrilled that they finally found one. And Im equally thrilled that they held out and got him locked up for the full five years. If the front seven ever manages to get anything resembling a pass rush going, this defense will be miles ahead of where it was last season.

Thank the Pats for Revis. We were not totally sold on picking Revis until the Jets FO found out that NE was trying to move up to get him. The Jets blocked NE by getting him first and avoiding the pats having a potential shutdown corner. These were some of the reports on draft day. Great move, however please stop talking about tanny's genius. It was either we take him or he winds up in NE. Also the news reports that day mentioned our attention shifted to corner to keep pace with NE's wr acquisitions.

So, is it tanny's genius or a move dictated by our foe? Either way, I'm glad we picked him up.

do you have story about the Pats wanting Revis, SackXchange? It makes sense because of Asante Samuel's contract squabble. I remember reading that the Pats traded up in the second round of 2001 draft to take Matt Light, the player whom the Jets wanted. We instead took BPA in Lamont Jordan.

Could be a mix of both as well. We may have wanted Revis somewhat, and also knew the Pats were interested, so just kill two birds with one stone.

But I like to think that we just really wanted him that badly.

I'd rather see both work as a unit.

Some posters thought he'd be targeted by brady in the opening game, but it looked like their gameplan was to go after Barrett from the getgo.

A healthy Dyson would surely help the secondary.

Dyson and Revis at the corners is the way to go this season.

I have been so impressed with Revis thus far! I love his size and recovery speed. And it's only been 2 GAMES!!!

Barrett/Revis is our McAlister/Reed combo, from how it appears... now we just need a defensive line.

Maybe Revis isn't leaving anyone open? Maybe Revis has just been that good so far? scary thought isnt it. a 2 week old rookie CB dominating top recievers in the NFL

 Yeah, I have Barrett-hate on the brain after re-watching Moss own him repeatedly in the NE game, good catch.

After having no camp he is still far ahead of Barrett and Miller, his physical ability allows this, it's sad but also heartening I guess.
