I really think it's the Jets. Here's the other possiblities. Eagles - I happen to think that McNabb is way overrated. He's played like garbage so far and, with this rookie QB nipping at his heels, he's not gonna play much better. And the defense looks very vulnerable this year. Saints - What is good about this team exactly? They had offensive firepower last season but now they play uber-conservative, they leave Bush all alone in space to get killed, and their defense is terrible. Rams - What a difference a lineman makes. With Pace out, this team is gonna start to crumble just like it did last season. Having absolutely no defense doesn't help matters. Buffalo - Looked like they were going to be all offense and no defense coming into the season. Turns out they are mediocre defense and zero offense. Where are the bombs to Lee Evans? That's all they have going for them. And Marshawn Lynch is proving he is no McGahee (and McGahee isn't even very good). Giants, Falcons, Chiefs, Raiders, Dolphins - No reason to point out the faults of these teams. They are all trainwrecks in every way. The Raiders, oddly, look like the team with the most hope but this is clearly a rebuilding year for them. Then there's the Jets. They've played two very tough teams. But they showed signs of life last week and I think they are gonna pick it up big time the next few games. Most importantly, they have the best coaching of any team on this list (except possibly the Eagles but I still think the Jets are better).
Lynch has already proven to be on the same level as McGahee after only 2 starts. As a matter of fact he has better numbers than McGahee and your very own Thomas Jones! Lynch - 37 car 154 yds 4.2 avg 1 td 3 rec 30 yds 10.0 avg 0 td McGahee - 45 car 174 yds 3.9 avg 0 td 5 rec 40 yds 8.0 avg 1 td Jones - 38 car 109 yds 2.9 avg 0 td 3 rec 26 yds 8.7 avg 0 td
Numbers do nothing for me. I'm talking about McGahee when he was on the Bills, not now. Also, it's not about the yardage, it's about whether you can grind out the tough yards, which Lynch can not do.
He's coming off an injury and playing with a line that needs reps to get better. He's hardly started, just wait.
Philly. They'll get it turned around soon enough. I'd probably have the Saints second, although they've looked brutal so far.
HMMMMMMMM IM not saying. Raiders are in the win column and one game out of first place in AFC West. Go Raiders .
Raiders defense not great. Allowed other team to score late in all three games. Not sign of good defense. Raiders blocked field goal away from being 0-3.
First if I was you I wouldn't even talk abouit defense- or lackof. Defense played pretty well in this game. Prevent defense was a big reason, Browns should have possible stole this game. If there is any LB corp playing as well as the raiders, I would like to see who they are. Raiders Oline and the running game is no joke(no one would listen) . Slowly you see the pieces coming together for the raiders.
You haven't seen any Packers games yet. Packers linebacking corps is playing very well. Patriots, Steelers, Buccaneers, and Eagles groups also playing well. The Raiders do have a much better offense now. We knew once that happened that the defense would drop off. SundayJack, myself, Yisman, Abyzmul, and maybe some others all told you this would happen. The Raiders offense was so inept in 2006 that other teams played very vanilla on offense. This led to the appearance that the 2006 Raiders defense was superb. Other teams just wanted to protect the ball on offense because they knew that the Raiders offense would implode soon enough.
Why? Because I am a Jets fan? I am an NFL fan just as much as I am a Jets fan. Just because Team A sucks, I am not allowed to talk about Team B also sucking? Get out of here with that shit, buddy. Every time somebody shits on the Raiders here, you feel the need to shit on the Jets. There was no need for it here. The topic is the Raiders.
