So are the Lions and GB coaches who initally complained about this last year to the NFL, and in fact, are the ones whose actions prompted Goodell to explicitly ban exactly what the Pats were doing going to be out of a job too? They were the ones who actually "ratted" out Belly.

Bitter Pats fans....but i wouldn't put it past the Good Ol' Boys of the NFL, i'm sure there's a 'code of silence'. Should be interesting to see how the year turns out for us.

Mangini is going nowhere, unless he decides he wants to for some reason. he can/will be here for the next 10 years. This is his second year, he makes some mistakes-EVERYONE DOES! If he is as smart as I think he is, he will learn from his mistakes and get better.

Why are we blaming EM for losing to two better ballclubs...NE is way, way better, we are not in their class. Ravens game could have been won-is anyone blaming EM for JM drops? It is even too early to fully evaluate the draft picks...although I say we may have made a mistake with Dbrick, time will tell. I wanted leinart-maybe Clemens will turn out as good or better. The number of NFL coaches who seem to be able to get the best out of non HOF players is quite small..I believe EM will join thats elect group.

that article is pathetic. Of course our team looks awful - we played the Pats who are on the absolute top of their game, hell they made the 14-2 Chargers look horrible- followed by a Baltimore team that has a great defense and if they hadn't have ran into the Colts last year, they might have been in the Superbowl.

In 3 weeks we will be 3-2 and this author is going to look like an idiot.

Also, how is calling out a division rival for cheating going to upset the whole league. Hell if I was a team owner I would want a coach to stand up against that B.S. THats the differance between him and Herm in my opinion- If Herm knew about that, there's NO WAY he would have called the Pats out on it, he was Belicheck's bitch.

In conclusion, if this is Mangini's last NFL job, Great I hope so. I hope he coaches the Jets for 10+ years!

To be honest, I couldn't care less if Mangini gets another job or not. He is the Jets head coach now (where I think he will be for a number of years). If he were to get fired or resign, "another job" would mean that he was with a different NFL organization. Therefore, as a Jet fan, the only job I care about is the one he has now with the NYJ (which, incidentally, will set him up for life financially, so we are not talking about his inablitity to "make a living" after the NYJ.)

So many details and who knows which ones are correct. I thought a member of the Jets security team spotted the camera man and it escalated from there. Did Mangini come out and say yeah the Pats do it?

I don't think Mangini will ever get another NFL job to be truthful. My guess is he's the Jets coach for a generation.

    1. He won't be leaving the Jets anytime soon.
    2. If he wins he will be able to go anywhere he wants.

Media hype, plain and simple. If Mangini goes on to be at least a decent coach and our team remains competitive then he is employable. If they nose-dive a couple of seasons then he will be less employable. All this "breaking the silence" and the "no one trusts a tattle-tale" is a load of crap aimed at trying to sell more newspapers. They have nothing better to report on so why not twist the story for all it is worth.

Back in the 80's-90's when the "Genius" struck out, how many people thought he would ever get another head coaching job? Look how that worked out.

    This article is IDIOTIC!
For one: getting anotyher job in the NFL will depend on how successful he is. Same as with anyone else. If you have a record of success there will always be someone looking to hire you. As for the insiders comments, The major dropped passes were by the #3 wide receiver and every team has dropped passes every week. As far as the "too old" running back every body else in football thought he was the steal of the off season, but suddenly after playing with an injury against two of the best defenses in the NFL he is too old?
As for Selena Roberts, she is still pining away for Herm Edwards who she would talk about like he was the greatest coach in the history of the NFL.

    This article is wrong.

First, if this had happened last year the Jets would have said something. Why would Mangini wait an entire year to call the Pats on this? I think it's a relatively new development, or something that we at least didn't see last year. The insinuation that Mangini used it to his advantage to get a coaching job and then called the Pats on it once it stopped benefiting him is ludicrous.

Secondly, the NFL is bereft of discipline and head coaching talent, and Mangini brings both to the table. If he wins here and decides to go elsewhere, he'll be welcomed with open arms. This is about winning.

Just to put a differrent angle on this.
The Pats have had to submit various papers and software regarding this whole 'cameragate' issue, and apparentley its been going on a number of years.................Maybe Mangini could have shot himself in the foot here.

Let me get this staight--I am a coach, you are cheating against my team--blatantly trying to steal info--and I am supposed to let that go? Or maybe, in the spirit of the code of silence, I should arrange to have the videotaper whacked.

The only NY football coach to lose his job anytime soon is Coughlin, which could be as early as next Monday.

Here's what I think--this article and its infamous league insider base this on what, exactly? That the Jets lost to the loaded Pats by the same score as the vaunted Chargers did to the Pats? Or that they lost a road game in an extremely unfriendly arena against a top tier team while using a QB is his first NFL start? Don't bother to wait and see how they do against a more representative sample. Just jump to a conclusion, Mr. Anonymous insider. Selena Roberts and her multiple league insiders. I am sick and tired of "anonymous" insiders. Leakers, liars and cowards: the reporter's friend. And eminently trustworthy, to be sure.

Let's put it this way... if Terrel Owens can find another team... so can Mangini.
