Good question wow this game is making me very upset, 3rd down and two we throw a sweep run the ball up the damn middle wow...
The Jets obviously decided to try to get Thomas Jones going. They've fed him the ball a bunch and that's going to cut into Washington's opportunities. I've also noticed that Mangini does not like to use Washington against fast defenses. He may think it negates his advantages.
Part of an overall package of poor play calling...they should've been moving Clemens out of the pocket and setting up 2 yards deeper when he was in the pocket. What good is a mobile QB if you keep him boxed up like your immoble QB?
What Happened to Leon Washington?? 0 rushes, 0 yards. 0 receptions for 0 yards. Why was he not involved at all? Not even one touch! Where's this 1-2 punch we've been hearing so much about? I'm very disappointed in the CS staff over this...
I was wondering the same thing. Neon Leon needs his touches. I can't think of a good saying like "Randy Ratio" though.
did you watch the game robA? Thomas Jones was very effective today. Whenever the o-line gave him a hole, he hit it hard. He ran very well and ran especially well in the 2nd half
TJ was minimally effective. He looks awful slow running to the outside. Tentative. It's completely absurd not to see Leon get at least 10 touches today.
Leon How the hell did Leon not get one freaking carry all game. He is a playmaker and needs to carry the ball at least 8-10 times a game.
If Leon carried the ball against the Ravens 8-10 times during the first three quarters, his stats would have been minus 30.
leon, unlike tj, is not going to get 2 yard gains when he is hit at the line, he will get nothing. Would have liked to see them try plays with him on the outside but maybe they just thought better of it against the league's fastest D
In situations where he is going to get dominated by the line, he should be used more for screens and flat routes...
I agree completely, he needs more touches, whether it's handoff or passes, he needs the ball. Leon is a playmaker.
I definately agree. He is very dangerous when you get him in the open field. I cant blame the coaches for not getting him carries against the ravens. They would have been all over him. I do think they should have tried more screen passes since the ravens blitz so many men, Leon could have gotten into the open field. Leon has earned the right to get 10 touches a games with his play last season. They will fing ways to get him the ball eventually.
