Are you kidding? You do realize the Jets lost their 1 and 2 starting QBs within 7 plays last year.

Even if it means biting yourself in the ass? Is that the precedent they want to set?

Come on. Common sense has to prevail at some point...

Falcon fan, thanks for the intelligent post. But... I think the Falcons are being unreasonable and trying to take the Jets for a ride. Abe being disgruntled has nothing to do with this, that is his problem.

I actually think Abraham is worth more than a 1st round pick, although I think Abe for the Falcons 1st rounder right now straight up would be the deal and nothing less for the Jets.

Proven, pro-bowl pass rushers are extremely hard to come by, they are in very short supply. This guy is still young and one of the best pass rushers in the league, period.

A 2nd round draft pick... you have to be kidding me. Or we need to give something along with Abe... that's ridiculous. We will not be able to get near the production of Abe out of any draft pick.

I am sick of the reports saying Abe is mad at the Jets for stalling. We drafted him, we developed him, we tagged him, and if we are going to trade him it has to be an even trade. A 2nd round draft pick for John Abraham, who at 27 is already like 4th on our all-time sacks list is a complete joke.

Be thankful you didn't have to witness the horror that was Doug Johnson and Kirt Kittner...
