Thanks for that list. If we could nab Suggs that would be absolutely huge for us, although it seems unlikely. But if we could, this defense would be amazing. Travis LaBoy interests me as a possible guy who could be a great backup OLB. If we are going to get another big passrusher in the draft next year, it would be good to have him and LaBoy splitting time. Sopoaga's size also interests me, although I don't really know anything about him.

Starks isn't a 3-4 NT, William Joseph has no experience in a 3-4, and Tommy Kelly wasn't good in a 3-4.... Laboy, Odom and Pace all are about as good as what we have right now. We'll be drafting our next pieces, I doubt we could land Suggs.

    Terrell Suggs....LMFAO!!

Ozzie is no dumbass...He may have let Adalius walk, but Suggs isn't even in the prime of his career yet, he's a menace, and only in his mid-20's.

With Ray Ray nearing the end of the line...Suggs is an easy decision to lock up...

    Please.

No way do I want a 315 lb nose tackle. Gimme Okam out of Texas.

Seriously when I read the title to this thread I had to laugh out loud. Are you writing the season off already after one week, or does discussing current affairs bore you that much?

  7. If I had to predict i'd say we'll target Suggs as well as some O-linemen.

We'll look for 3-4 DL in the draft..

He certainly looks good going into his senior year. I was hoping he'd come out in 2007 but he played his cards right.

Who are the FA potential OLinemen going to be?

  10. Theonly thing about Okam is that he maybe a better fit at 3-4 DE. But hey, we could use one of those too!

Most college teams do not use the 3-4, just as most NFL do not use the 3-4. If you limit your choices to just players that have experience in the 3-4, then you would have hardly no players to choose from. Starks, Joseph and Kelly all have the body types and style of play to be effective in the 3-4. Also I'd much rather Laboy, Odom or Pace opposite as our other pass rushing OLB/DE hybrid than Hobson, who's a free agent himself. Lastly define doubting we can land Suggs? Can we not afford him or do you feel we probably would not dish out the money? If it's the latter, I agree.

The latter. All this the Pats stole our signals crap bore me. We are not getting the win, to replay the game or the picks. Who care? Not me.

Strength is more important than weight. Starks is very very strong; that's both in the upper and lower body.

Yes, that is correct. Many posters here talk about wanting a QB with arm strength. They should also be concerned about wanting a NT with arm strength.

I think Dewayne Robertson would be better off as a 4-3 DT or a 3-4 end. As a 3-4 end, I think he'd be as effective as Luis Castillo of the Chargers.

O man, I pray to the football Gods that we somehow make Suggs a New York Jet. He alone improves our defense. Suggs, Vilma, Harris, thomas/hobson would be a thing of beauty.

Agreed. I bet DRob would be an above average 3-4 DE. But he's all we got for NT right now.

No way Terrell Suggs ever sniffs FA.

Is Suggs a "Mangini" guy? hehe..

Doubt the Jets would "overpay" to get Suggs.
