they're both jackasses, but on this topic, they're not too far off. I'm into tailgating and partying as much as the next guy, but some fans at these games just overdo it, and it results in questionable behavior/reactions to things on the field. I'm a Chad doubter a lot of the times, but would never cheer the guy getting hurt/or being replaced after an injury, it was embarrassing.... if he got pulled after playing like complete crap, that's another story side note, I've always felt the fans at home games are not quite as loud as they could be because by the time the game comes around, seem many people are well past their peak buzz and our already hung over
Can't say I disagree with this statement after that performance on Sunday. Cheering him getting hurt is pretty immature and narrow-minded.
don't cheer your qb getting hurt, and you don't have to defend yourself against these comments. simple.
If I remember correctly Francessa said that it's 50-60% Jets fans that are at a game and the rest are Giant fans that couldn't get Giant tickets. THEY BOTH ARE JUST CLOWNS THAT KNOW NOTHING all they do is second guess everything
He also failed to mention (ironically) that there are many many Giant fans that have season tickets only for the sake of having season tickets for a pro team. (Much like me with the Chargers) Every single ticket of mine with the exception of one game is for sale on stubhub. These things tend to happen when you have tickets for a team you really have no intrest in. Way to fail to mention a very crucial aspect of the Jet season ticket base. I don't think this problem would exist if the new stadium was in Queens where it belonged.
FAt ass. Im a season ticket holder for jets and i go to about to a giant game or two a year cause my bro. We have a much more exciting fan base. i hate that fat ass.
We're young, we're angry and we're passionate. We may not seem coherant or reasonable to the general public...but consider the following.... 1. The pain and heartache the organization has put us through for years 2. Not having our own stadium for years 3. Living in the shadow of the franchise we share a city and stadium w/ 4. Our biggest rival basicaly taking off into a dynasty and it being directly correlated to us... of course we're gonna act the way we do. We're like cornered rats!
First off, anybody who says all they do is "bash the jets" are completely ignorant. Fancesa has been very complimentary since Mangini and Mr. T have taken over. He even said last week that we was routing for them against the Pats. Some of you need to get your facts straight. Second, everything they said about us Jets today were deserved for the way Chad was treated yesterday. Do you think only Mike & Chris think that way of us now???? NO WAY, we caused this ourselves for yesterdays behavior with Chad. We did this, and us as Jets fans are the only ones that can change this perception.
We do have ALOT of idiot fans as we showed on Sunday but to act like we have more than other teams is silly. i guess the Giant fans weren't immature for throwing ice balls and almost killing a man and they weren't immature for their taunts of NO fans 2 years ago. Every team has idiot fans.
How would they know if one sits his big ass down on the couch at home and the other is watching the Padres/Giants game
How would they know if one sits his big ass down on the couch at home and the other is watching the Padres/Giants game. I was at the game. I thought people cheered for Chad because he tried to get off the field by himself, cheered for Clemens because we want him to do good and its always exciting when a young QB comes in, and cheered when Chad came in. I must of missed something or I was so damm hot, I did not notice.
"Immature"... This coming from a man who claimed he was happy that the Red Sox beat his beloved Giants because it hurt the Yankees.
Now i've seen the replay of Chad getting hurt a few times now, and compare the yells when Chad got hurt to when Clemens came in. It sounds to me the yells for Chad was more of an outraged yell than a cheer. Still stupid to cheer for Clemens, though. IMO of course.
Thank you for pointing that out junc.... there are just as many jackass Giant fans as there are Jet fans. And Ryan the fact that KC is a notch below Chad is even more reason to cheer him coming into the game. The last thing a young kid coming into a game against the Pats needs is to silence.
All right, I guess I over reacted a bit saying we shouldn't cheer for him, but we didn't make that much noise at any other time throughout the game, it just didn't sit well with me.
it's not, but we all know, at least those of us who are being truly honest, that that cheer was malicious in nature....it wasn't just to cheer for Clemens coming in, it was more like thank god Chad is out.... we know this because, where was the big cheer for Chad when he came back in? any of us who have been to enough games can tell what the cheers were about
