Let's take a closer look at Tannebaums blunders. Splits hairs with #1 pick over 1 year on the contract. Keep in mind we traded up for this pick. Then, with a crappy line to begin with he gets rid of the one decent piece in our lineup who was grossly underpaid to begin with. The thing that concerns me about Tannenbaum is that he seems really tight with the money. Going forward I don't expect any big signings and they are going to build through the draft. The problem with this is that we have some players who already at their peak. And this team has too many holes in the trenches to make a formidable run for like the Pats or Chargers. I'm just frustrated, the schedule is really difficult and I don't expect more than 6 wins if that. It's going to be a long season. I know I'm negative but when you have been a jet fan for 40 years only to see a few good years followed up by more bad years.
if youve been here almost a year then you should know that these things have been argued about all offseason. year 1 is the honeymoon....year 2 should SHOULD show improvements... there are still 15 other games...but im in no rush to see them get played. we play some really tough comp...0-2 start is on its way....could even be 0-3 going into the buff game. miami, buff, and the vagiants are winnable (well, more so than games 1 and 2). im curious as to how the chad injury will get played out in the media and if he will miss some time. throwing KC out there for his first start is like throwing claussen out against penn state in happy valley.
Exactly! This is one loss (although a bad one at that), but as a whole this board seems to be amazingly negative. Come on people, were you expecting to go undefeated? This season isn't over and hopefully we can bounce back next week!
Personally, i expected to lose this game, and I expected to struggle a bit running the ball, I expected to struggle stopping the run, and I expected to have trouble pressuring Brady and cover all their receivers. But it's just that everything that went wrong went about as wrong as possible. That's some of the reason for the negativity I think. That said, I don't think our schedule is THAT hard. Baltimore is going to be a tough game. At the Bengals should be pretty difficult. At New England will obviously be real tough. But Miami and Buffalo we should hopefully take 3 out of 4. Giants is very winnable. Philadelphia should be a good game, we can very well win that. Washington is very winnable. Steelers, too early to tell I think. Same with Dallas. Cleveland, Tennessee, and Kansas City are all very winnable I think. I could still see 9 wins and with a couple breaks maybe more.
ha ha ha ha ha aha ha ah ha!! were you actually watching the same game i was watching. jet's against pats right?? if this game showed anything, it showed the jets are a very beatable team. both lines are very weak. VERY WEAK!!!! i don't have all the doom and gloom of some on this board, mainly because i don't over evalute the talent on the jets like most homers here. this was one game and i think the jets are better than what they showed today. it's just what i have said previously. this pats team is stacked. and this jets team isn't as good as some people here think. not as bad as today, but still a very beatable team. hopefully the front office will use free agency next off season. their failure to do so last off season is going to show this year with this jets team taking a step back, instead of a step forward like they should have, if free agency was used properly. they knew this team lacked in the trenches and played it cheap in the off season. they are paying for it now!!!
Well, the Jets lost today so obviously they are beatable, and I did not say they are going to win the next 15 games, so obviously I feel they are still beatable. So I'm not really sure what your point is.
