we can sit here all day and nit pick about everything the new york jets did wrong. Sit here and whine about the OL this the DL that.. Barrett sucks.. or you can just stop bitching and realize that the patriots are an absolute powerhouse. We may not have the best pass rush, but that O-line is just a brick wall, even when we would send 6 or 7. Tom brady is one of the best qbs all time, and now that he has moss, welker, and stallworth its just going to make him that much better. Sher we didnt come out and play our best game, but the patriots are easily the team to beat in this league. The past is the past and we are just going to have to take it one game at a time, and stop pointing fingers at so and so. So heres to a win in baltimore
Fact is, New England is a well oiled machine. They made GREAT off-season moves (something that our team did NOT do), and they executed perfectly today. My hat is off to them. It doesn't detract from my utter hatred of them, but I am man enough to give credit where credit is due. ANd if the Jets want to get to the level of the Patriots, then they had better give up trying to get players off the scrap heap (Wadsworth), and sign players who will provide actual help for the schemes they wish to implement. Another thing the Pats do well is not get rid of people unless they have someone better to taketheir place. I understand Kendall became an issue. But it could have been taken care of quietly, instead of the FO throwing it's weight around showing how tough they can be. Don't get rid of players unless you have a viable replacement. You don't make your team better by using less talented players they the one you got rid of.
Tony, we can't do that.. or else we'll go back to salary cap hell!!! Who needs Adalius Thomas.. dont worry in three years the Pats will pay for their mistakes and maybe we'll be better than them then! "Trust Tangini" I agree with you everything you said.
The key to this comment is the word TEAM. As a Patriots season ticket holder, I've often wondered why other teams cannot get the most out of the personnel on the roster and be more competitive with the Patriots. I'm not totally convinced that every team in the NFL, including the JETS, don't have players who, on a comparative basis are as talented as the Patriots players are. But, as much as most NFL fans don't like BB, personnel is one thing, but the ability to get the most out of the capabilities of what is available is maybe the main reason for the Patriots success. The Patriots coaching staff does a great job setting up a system that utilizes the capabilities of their entire roster of available personnel. Stop complaining about what individual players did or did not do on O or D. All they did was work within the system developed by the coaching staff. Maybe the coaching staff needs to change it's game philosophy so as to better utilize what their players' strengths and weaknesses are.
