Initially reading the title I would of assumed Charles Woodson...But Runyan would be nice.

I was going to make a sarcastic comment about bringing in Marquis Grissom to zing you a little about your spelling.

But I realize you quoted off the Jet Confidential site.

The word is MARQUEE, not marquis.

And I can't believe that site would get it wrong in their headline.

I guess the editors are on a dinner break.

I wish it were Lavar, but Runyan makes more sense. I hope his price tag isn't too high.

Not sure where you get overrated from. He has been a top RT in the league for years.

How many RT's can make the claim that they regularly shut down Strahan?

???????? I thought that Ferguson was a LT! Some people make it seem as if the Jets have $20 million invested in Adrian Jones and that nobody can replace him or the sky will fall if he is relegated to the bench for a better player.

I think it means that Ferguson is still under major consideration for the #4 pick. Jones is not a RT nor is he good enough to be a premier LT. He is perfect as a back up tackle. I think it means the Jets won't go RT in the draft.

    or less...

its not proven anything to anyone outside of Mangini and Tanny themselves (they are the only one who probably know what they are trying to do)

And now it's Fabini's turn in Dallas. Strahan must be salivating over that signing :)

I'd love John Runyan, he'd be an excellent transition player. But his pricetag must be way up there. Usually I'm not for that approach... but to protect the QB's blindside immediately would be worth it. If we sign Runyan, then I think we're drafting a QB in round 1.

This would be a great pickup at this point in time. Runyan still has a few more seasons left in him. We would fill another significant hole. Give ourselves more options in the draft. (probably trading down) as well as the fact that we would FINALLY start using some of the cap space we have on a very good free agent.

Runyan doesn't have much left in the tank and is an injury risk IMO. He's too expensive for a guy who will only be around for 2-3 years during an offensive rebuilding.

Unfortunatly I live in Eagle land and I watch the Eagle game as my second choice after the Jets. I have seen Runyan play often and he is a brute. It is true he has only two or three years left but they will be good ones. Remember how long Jumbo played and was effective till 37 or 38 years old. Pay him and play him he can still do the job. or it could mean they feel they have a starter in Jones at LT. so theyre going for a big FA RT to compliment him

im not saying he cant be replaced, i dont think brick is worth #4 but thats for another thread
