This is another way of saying the Jets have no left guard. I'm really surprised Bender is inactive. Clarke and Smith are both proven mediocrities, with Bender you could at least fantasize he might develop into an above average NFL guard.
Oh, so Stacy Tutt may start! See, I told you he was good. Dyson being inactive may mean Revis will start.
Barnes??? I guess Tutt will take the load, and Dyson is a no go.. Revis better get his running shoes on
Bender could be hurt, there could be a specific plan for the position, there could be a million different reasons he is on that list. I wouldn't read too much in to it. No point being downbeat before we even start losing!!
Hehe, it never hurts to be a bit pessimistic at the start about the Jets. I've been terribly disappointed only once recently, in 1999 with the Vinny Achilles.

What's the over/under on Wade Smith penalties? I saw on the ticker that Justin Miller and Brandon Moore are questionable for the game.
yeah i was disappointed by that too. I guess we just have too much depth at receiver. If he's as good as training camp reports suggest it seems like he'll have to crack the roster at some point.
He's got 5 WRs ahead of him and the coaching staff doesn't need him or want him returning kicks just yet.
