herman edwards never gave him a real chance.agreed he is still learning.but maybe in a 3-4 defense he might show up.

I think he may have spent to much time in the Peace Corp and lost his mean streak. But I really dont know how he did unless you are able to tivo the plays and watch them over which there might not even be a big sample of plays to choose from to look out at, if he did play its hard to tell how a nose tackle did cause your definetly not gonna see it on paper. Hopefully Mangini can do sumthin with him.

Pouha was deactivated with an injury.... I forget what the injury was, but when he came back he was getting a fair amount of playing time in weeks 15, 16 and 17.

Cimini said he moves like an old lady in the JN chat! I thought that was funny, even though I don't agree with Cimini on that point. Cannizaro moves like an old lady.... and Cimini moves like a cat when he finds himself between Canny and the feed box, though~!

maybe because pouha did NOTHING last year. i'd rather have Vinny Testaverde at DT than pouha, to be quite honest. at least Vinny is more mobile, and would shed blocks quicker.

The only thing I could see pouha flourishing in is stopping up toilets.

The guy is already 27 years old too... Can't be much of a project when you're about to retire in 5 years.

I think the jury's still out on Pouha, at least as far as we know. But I know this CS will either make a player out of him by bringing up to the surface whatever talent is there, or they'll cut him. Unlike the Herm/Bradway regime, there's not hiding on this roster or being kept around because you were drafted by the incumbent administration.

Interesting opinion. Especially since Dave Ball is a defensive end, which is a completely different position.

I imagine Pouha will get a chance to compete for play time, but Mangini needs to bring in somebody who he knows can fill the position.

I think that we will see if he has any worth come training camp, do not judge him because of Cimini or Herm, we all know that some talents have been stifled under that regime so until Pouha is cut, I will give him the benefit of the doubt

Regardless of age, he was still a rookie and was hurt for part of the year. I think he has great potential to be a NT in a 3-4.

The better question is why should everybody be up on him? What has he shown any of us? He never got any playing time so we should have our doubts. Plus, the pick was considered a reach at the time.
