2000-2004, Daunte's "golden years", 38-39 record by my count. Or did I miss something?

    2001-2004 he was 26-33, fwiw.

Chad is 33-24 from 2002-2006, just as a comparison, and that includes playing most of 2004 with a severed shoulder.

So in the same 5 season bracket Daunte managed 5 extra wins and 15 additional losses (remember Chad missed half of 2003 and almost all of 2005). Way to go big guy!

This is one argument I'm kinda tired of seeing.

The Raven did not win with Trent Dilfer. They won with a good power running game and perhaps the best Defense to ever lace 'em up in the NFL. They could have had any number of below average QB's on thier team . Dilfer happened to be the lucky SOB who was in the right place at the right time.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XXXV

Dilfer's situation and Chad's are worlds apart. If Chad had a D who could hold a teams to under 1,000 total rushing yards for a season, there is no doubt he could take us far. We don't have that D. Not even close. This over used example is folly at best.

As for Mohr, in the fantasy aspect I agree with him. As for bringing on Clemens right now? No way. This is Chad's job to lose untill he proves he is not the guy to take us to a SB win.

Its pretty clear that his logic is because Pennington doesn't put up good fantasy numbers Clemens should start. He acknowledges that Pennington is a QB who can win the game, though he rarley puts up good numbers doing so. So when he says that Clemens should start because of this, Mohr is essentially saying he would rather have Jon Kitna, a QB who will get 10+ fantasy points a week, and a 2-14 team then Pennington and a team that will contend for the playoffs. The guy is an idiot.

no you keep reading it wrong buddy. he mentions that penny is what he is. someone who wins and loses games he shouldnt and how its never penny that wins games but manages them. how he cant win from behind and doesnt put up alot of passing yards.

    Jackass

Jay Mohr is a jackass. I hate when people turn into their TV personas and that is what happened to this guy. One day he was a decent standup comic on SNL and the next he's the schmuck from Jerry McGuire. Let's leave the sports analysis to the professionals. For christ sakes, he was happy with his first 6 picks, two of which where a defense and Ben Watson.

Well he also refers to Penny as a weak armed .500 QB. Correct me if im wrong, but hasnt Pennington brought the Jets to the playoffs in every season that he's played at least 8 games? Im no NFL expert but im pretty sure you need to be better than .500 (unless in the NFC) to make the playoffs. The come from behind argument doesn't make any sense either, Kitna and Leinart managed to put up good numbers coming from behind, look what good that did them last season. I understand that Pennington will never be Manning or Brady, but if he's healthy and the rest of the team manges to play well enough, I have no dobut that he can take the Jets to the next level.

For a guy who has an avatar of a guy who can't kick both far and high at the same time, you sure do talk a lot of smack about Pennington.

You can’t post anything that points out any of Chad’s inequities on this friggin’ site without the Chad sunshiners stepping up to tell you that all he does is win. The dude is talking about fantasy football…

If someone wrote an article that Chad has a short pecker – these guys would probably point out that it was longer in 2001 before the offensive line caused him to be pushed over on it on a regular basis.

What are you guys going to do this year if he doesn’t “all he does is win”? I guess it will be the FO’s fault for letting Kendall go.

    Fantasy football is gay anyway.

Chad is my hero! All he does is win! If his pecker is short, I'm sure its accurate as all get out! The O-line is the worst in the league. If our Jets win with this line, make no mistake, Chad is the best QB in the league!

For Fantasy Football then aright w/e but in real life Pennington is a very good QB i mean he has no arm but he threw for over 2200 Yards and 22 TD and just 6 INT before in his career those are pretty good numbers for just 12 games.

how much winning has chad exactly had? how many playoff wins? how many...i wont even say it...

from a fantasy perspective chads like having the team catch AIDS. hes no good for it. i like chad, but he never topped his initial season for TDs, and he played 16 full games last year. chads far from a statistical great, but hes ok as a starter. but if were down 10 in the 4th qtr, unless the D or ST makes a play to score we lose...
