You forgot caught by undercover prostitute cops  I forgot about Jordan. How stupid on his part, and our part for him to leave. How is anyone going to run behind oakland's line, and he had the job as soon as C-Mart left. The Jets should have also known it was close to the end for C-Mart. I would'nt say anything about Abraham considering we got Mangold for him and he was never healthy when it mattered. Though he was a game changer...
 You crack me up jonny. Also, I can't believe SOWELLisGOD hasn't checked into this thread yet....
Kareem McKenzie and Jason Ferguson. Two great players that would have changed the face of their respective sides of the ball had then still been here.
What has Ferguson done in Dallas that makes you think he would have "changed the face" of the DL or the defense?
Well if the OP meant players that are still in the NFL I take Mawae. This is because if I remember correctly Mangold can play guard.
hahahahaha...........and Anthony Becht would have really opened up this offense had he stayed. He was a dominant force over the middle
I can't believe we let Aaron Glenn go like we did, one of my favorite all-time Jets. Of the current crop though, gotta go with the consensus and McKenzie.
Was it Aarong Glenn or Marcus Coleman that was the first player plucked in the expansion draft by the Texans? I don't know how the CS didn't think enough to pull one out of the pool after the other went.
Without a doubt, JOHN RIGGINS. He played 1971-75 with the Jets and then NINE years with the Redskings. While with the Redskins, he was a Super Bowl MVP, voted American Sports Player of the Year, made the Pro Bowl, and was voted on the 1980s NFL Decades Team.
They did it on purpose to get rid of both guys' salaries. Their last game with the Jets was the first round playoff loss at Oakland following the 2001 season, and they were torched all night by an aging Jerry Rice and Tim Brown. The brass at the time felt they weren't worth the cap number they were carrying, both were Texas guys so they put them out there.
Riggins was my favorite player when I first started watching the Jets in 1974. I remember him dragging four tacklers about ten yards and thought that was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.
