Quarterback controversy? Not quite yet. "The one thing that we look at is the group performance," coach Eric Mangini said. "One person cannot dictate how the group performs. There are a lot of plays where if, as a unit, they had performed better, the opportunities to complete the ball down the field would have been better, and the running game would have been more effective. So it?s really more of a whole group total approach than of one person versus another person." There isn't much else for him to say at this point. It's pretty clear that if the o-line was solid then Chad and the backs would be doing better. That doesn't mean that Kellen clemens is not the right answer though. Sometimes you just have to move on when you are rebuilding and get to what's next. If the Jets are going to have a poor season based on poor lineplay I'd much rather have Clemens getting some experience and Chad backing him up in case he's just not ready. That's what the Jets should have done with Chad and Vinny in 2001 but they let the disaster come to them instead.
The guys on Sirius football radio Just said they would give up next years #1 for Chad and that he one of the best qb's playing the game right now
the thing is, those idiots don't have a first rd draft choice to give. thats why they do radio and not gm a pro football team....
first and foremost i would like to say hello! I am a jetsinsider defector and after many months of reading both boards i would like to say this is definatly the better of the two boards in terms on knowledgable football fans. First and foremost I would like to say i am very nervouse with what is going on in the pre season. But I would also like to state it is pre season and as many of us would like to win I think we need to let the season start before we start linching anybody including chad outside of the front office: mangini included for suiting up an offensive line like the one we have.
Democrat???? All that talk about collective performance, the man just may be a communist.... However, right now If Ahmadinejad showed up with the magic playbook to get the Lombardi trophy, I'd happily overlook his political affiliation..
Why would you overlook the political affiliation of a right-wing religious nutjob? If Ahmadinejad was an American he'd be running for the Senate as a Republican from Georgia.
I have never heard Byrd utter a word in anger, despite his great differences with many of the decisions this administration has made. I hear southern Republicans acting like jackasses all the time when they are unhappy with something. That's Ahmadinejad's MO.
