If that's the case, the Jets sorta screwed up last week by beating up on the Falcons.

You may be on to something. Is it to late to change my vote of "whose" the better HC, Mangini or Belicheck?

right well, then Mangini and the entire team and coaching staff and probably the front office would be arrested for throwing a game on purpose. lets just accept it as a loss for poor play (especially by our first string qb who is too comfortable as our starter and isnt giving effort) and move on.

I don't think Mangini played poor on purpose but he probably didn't want to take too much for his playbook. They kept things pretty simple.

I think he's trying some stuff that has a complex finish to it.

I wouldn't be very concerned about our D or our O based on last night. Most NFL teams don't have the OL and running game the Vikings do or the DL they have. We will look much better against the typical mediocre NFL teams where stunts, blitzes and scheme will cover up the fact that we can't block and tackle man up.

Don't you think Belichick is smarter than to fall for it?

    Relax....

Let's go back to last years pre-season for a little lesson. All we did last year was run left, run right, run into the pile. Did that the last 2 games also. The passing game was similar to the 2 games this year. WR's run 10 yards and hook, the RB's run into the flat, a screen pass here or there. No crossing patterns ABOSLOUTELY NO MEN IN MOTION OR CHANGING FORMATIONS, WHICH WAS AN ABOSOLUTE MAIN STAY OF OUR OFFENSE LAST YEAR...anyone see any of that the last two games..I'll answer that. No you have not!. Anyone remember seeing the no huddle hurry up Offense last year in pre-season. Again! No you did not.

With that said. Chad made two or three bad decisions, but looked pretty good on the drive that ended in the first FG.

The defense was just as vanilla as the offfense. No stunts, No blitzes, No disgusiing coverages. With that said Vilma got his ass handed to him, Bryan Thomas didn't work off a single block and DRob didn't do anything other that trying to hold his man at the point of attack.

There was no excitement from the team last night other than Special Teams. Wright was fantastic on coverage and the return game is so scary good that I doubt many teams will kick it deep this year.

Relax all will be better come Week 1.

    Remedial football, you bet. [IMG]

Of course you have a solid point as to showing all our tricks. As to the on-side kick, I'd call that one practice, but we had a bunch of zombies on the field. Man, the entire team is getting so chewed out this week. Today, as a matter of fact. Add to it what I wouldn't do to see Westhoff put some discipline on them with that cane of his. I'm sure he's beating someone as we speak.

  19. The DL is a result of several 1st round picks used there in the last few years as well as FA signings. It has alot of depth and a unique skill set of guys

I think we just didn't want to use much of our playbook, Chad didn't throw deep or over the middle once everything was to the sidelines.
