i got 2 Drafts this weekend. I don?t know yet, which spot i pick, but i?m a little scared of the 3rd spot, cuz with LJ holding out, i?m just not sure, what to do. Every day, i tend a little more to passing on LJ and picking SA. What about Addai and Gore? And what about Priest Holmes, does he have any value in the late-rounds? Could he even be the steal of this years draft?
Gore slightly ahead of Larry Johnson. Shaun Alexander is going to break down in my opinion. The line is slowly deteriorating, he lost a good WR to take some heat off him and he is coming off some injuries and is getting older and has logged a lot of carries recently. Addai fifth maybe.
Gore. Holmes won't be a steal even at the end of the draft. But he may be nice as a flier - espec. with LJ holding out. But don't expect old Priest Holmes type numbers.
no worries about gore missing the entire preseason? and where should LJ go then? If you think he plays he?s way better than gore, if you think he holds out, he should drop far.
If LJ plays, he's #2. Last I heard, it seems like KC & LJ are getting close in negotions (I hope not, because the team I play against week 1 has him). Bottom line: If you think LJ plays, take him at #3. If you don't think he'll play, don't take him in Rd.1. BUT...if you do take him, I'd take RBs in Rds 2 & 3 too just as insurance.
If LJ plays, which I think he will, he's the clear cut #3. If he continues holding out, I'd pick Addai. I have just recently decided to put Addai ahead of Gore because I realize that in limited time, Addai had some pretty sweet stats, and if you look back to Edge in his hay-day in Indy, he was an absolute beast. I think Addai can replicate that with about 1500 rushing yards, 400 recieving yards and 15 touchdowns. Gore will get his yards, but I don't think is a big goal line threat and will miss out on a lot of TDs, but is still #4 in my book. Followed by Alexander, who, if he plays anything like he usually does when healthy, would be a steal.
