Wow someone is grading on a curve here...

J.Abraham B (excellent player but one who just can't stay healthy and/or productive for a full season)
    S.Ellis B+
    Becht C
    Pennington B-
    Bryan Thomas D
DeWayne Robertson C+ (considering that he cost us 2 1st rounders)
Santana Moss B- (Maybe he gets an A with the skins but he didn't due shit for us save for that one useless season)
Mike Nugent (too early to tell)
Justin Miller (too early to tell)
Lamont Jordan B (didnt wanna let him go but Oak overpaid)
    Laveraunes Coles B
    Vilma A
Derrick Strait C+ (still hasnt really done anything yet)

    I'd go-
    Abraham B
    Ellis A
    Becht D-
Pennington A (not the FO's fault he got injured)
Thomas D- (I wanted Ed Reed)
    Robertson C
Moss C (I desperately wanted Chad Johnson at pick 19; the Jets opted to trade down to 16 for Moss)
    Nugent incomplete
    Miller incomplete
    Jordan A
    Coles A
    Vilma A
    Strait B-

yeah i definitely hear you on the ed reed part....

Chadwick, when i give abe an A+ im judging strictly on whether or not they selected a good player at their pick. I'm not factoring in anything else besides pure ability and how early/late they acquired him. I thought they got a player of excellent caliber thats why I graded high.

Only reason I dont FAIL Becht is cuz he is a good blocker. Scouts knew he was much more of a blocker than a receiver coming into the draft.

Abraham B+ (if it weren't for the injuries this would be an easy A++++++)

    Ellis B+

Becht C (Couldn't catch the ball, but was an awesome blocker)

Pennington A- (We win when he plays...just wish he would play more)

Thomas C- (I agree with Cakes, I wanted Ed Reed too)

Robertson C+ (Should have kept those 2 picks)

Moss B+ (I agree with Cakes here as well about Chad Johnson, but I really wanted Santana Moss)

Nugent I (showed some great progress at the end of the year)

Miller I (Also started to show some progress at the end of the year)

    Jordan A

Coles A+ (A 3rd round steal when the entire focus was on Warrick)

    Vilma A+++++++++++

Strait I (I really liked the pick when we made it, but haven't seen anything from him yet. 2006 will be his make or break year)

    Hobson B

James Reed B+ (for a 7th round pick I couldn't have been happier)

Goodwin F (I was psyched when we drafted him, but he has shown me nothing. Only thing good about him is his ability to play G and C)

    Baker B-

Coleman B (Great rookie year, dropped off a bit in his 2nd. Let's hope he turns it up in 06)

Cotchery I (I really like the pick, let's see how he does with more playing time in 2006)

Rhodes B+ (another steal in the mid rounds. Let's hope he continues)

J.Abraham: A (great player, lots of injuries)
    S.Ellis: A-
    Becht: C-
    Pennington: A-
Bryan Thomas: D- (UGGH. Hopefully will perform as a solid player, but considering guys who were passed up.....)
DeWayne Robertson: D (Not a bad player, but NOT worth 2 1strd picks)
Santana Moss: A (worse WRs were chosen earlier)
Mike Nugent: C- / D (1st pick in the draft is a kicker that can't reach the endzone, when pressing needs were available)
Justin Miller: Incomplete (see how he plays as a CB. Can't hold onto returns so far)
Lamont Jordan: A (nice grab in rd2, unfortunately not a need at the time)
Laveraunes Coles: A+ (round 3, and one of the best WRs in the draft)
    Vilma: A+

No one is giving Becht love. He was an awsome blocker. Why do you think our run game sucked this year? It was cuz Becht left. I gotta give a B-, just cuz he made the running game work, and cuz of his great TD celebration in the Charger game in the playoffs last year.

For you to give D-wayne a B+ is frankly retarded. He was the 4th pick in the draft and he has sucked. If our pick this year preforms like D-wayne we are in big trouble.

yes, but considering he was a 1st rd pick, he should be able to catch the ball without falling down as well

I'm sorry, but you CANNOT grade Ellis higher than Abe. You'd have to be nuts. Ellis seems to get a free pass simply because he's not outspoken and doesn't make any negative headlines. Fact of the matter is he's a no impact DE. With Abe gone it'll show even more. Oh, and another thing, John Abraham is the best player on the team. I don't understand why so many people have trouble admitting that.

I agree Ellis is a bit overrated in many of these posts. He has had 2 good years (03,04) besides that he was mediocre and was really bad last year. He is a good DE, but when you consider he was a 12th overall pick, makes you think....

J.Abraham B+ (cant stay healthy but is one of the best pass rushers in the league today)
S.Ellis B+ (doesnt have the flashes of abraham but is a very consistent player effective against both run and pass)
Becht D- (One of the best blocking TE's around, but you dont draft TE's in the first to be another lineman)
Pennington C+ (you cant predict injury but that has pretty much diminished his value obviously)
Bryan Thomas D+ (plenty of better choices were there)
DeWayne Robertson C+ (I'd say he plays at a B+ level but the 2 1st rounders brings him down)
Santana Moss B- (Injury rookie yr and lack of consistency for us, now hes amazing with the Skins)
Mike Nugent (too early to tell)
Justin Miller B (a 2nd rd pick who fell to us and I think will be here for a while)
Lamont Jordan B (didnt wanna let him go but Oak overpaid)
Laveraunes Coles A (considering where we drafted him)
    Vilma A (self explainatory
Derrick Strait C+ (I think he could be a decent to good number 2, but has always been thrown in as a dimeback or nickelback. and will prolly remain so)
Askew C (make use of him now)
Hobson C+ (decent player who shows signs of being a solid player)
