Hmmmm, a Leg Injury with no contact usually equals poor conditioning. Could it be that he was slacking off in his off season training not expecting the Pats training camp to be as hard as it was?
 Yeah, because when have you heard the words RANDY MOSS & WORKING HARD in the same sentence? :breakdance:
I wouldn't be too worried if I was a Pats fan. Although Moss has had a lot of hamstring injuries (assuming most of them were legit) in the past 3-4 years.
The Boston Herald has been doing Randy Moss Watch articles... The Randy Moss watch By Herald sports staff Monday, July 30, 2007 - Updated: 07:56 AM EST No acquisition has generated more interest during the Bill Belichick Era - and perhaps in Patriots [team stats] history - than wide receiver Randy Moss. As your training camp eyes and ears, the Herald will provide daily updates on Moss’ progress. Whether it’s a highlight reel catch or a drop in traffic, we’ll have you covered. Moss alligator-armed a pass on the sidelines yesterday, but he had good reason - had he fully extended for the ball, he likely would have flattened a helpless ballboy. The consensus among observers thus far is that Moss is not dogging it, which had been a concern. He may not practice with the fervor of jitterbug Wes Welker, and he hasn’t fought particularly hard for underthrown balls, but Moss seems to be following through on his promise to come in here and work hard. Learning the Patriots offense takes work, as Moss learned yesterday. He cut one route inside after a Tom Brady audible, colliding with rookie Brandon Meriweather. Brady, meanwhile, lofted the ball downfield. Moss did make a pair of nice plays, however. First, he beat safety help over the top to snare a Brady missile, reaching between Randall Gay and James Sanders. He then showed young defensive back Gemara Williams how a veteran receiver gets open, shouldering him aside on a slightly underthrown ball and outmuscling him for the reception. Would love to talk about some circus catch Moss made look rather ho-hum during yesterday’s morning session. Or, some defender he blew by and left in the dust before reeling in a long heave from Tom Brady. But Moss never put his helmet on during drills. And no, he wasn’t dogging it. He was a talker, not a catcher, in the early practice, given a breather by the coaching staff. It was more of a bonding day, as at during different times yesterday he yakked with Brady, receivers coach Nick Caserio and receiver Kelvin Kight, as well as other teammates. In the evening, however, Moss resumed full activity, running routes, and catching passes from Brady and Matt Cassel -- and making it all look so easy and effort-less. Randy Moss watch By Herald staff Thursday, August 2, 2007 - Updated: 03:33 PM EST Before leaving practice early with what appeared to be a thigh or hamstring problem, Randy Moss was the star of the show. He and Tom Brady were magic during the early part of practice, hooking up on a long post-corner route, with Moss shedding both Randall Gay and Rodney Harrison. He also made nice catches on a sideline pass, and curl-in, taking the ball away from Gay on the play. On the sideline-route in particular, he put his hands out at the very last second to catch Brady’s dart. Gay had no idea the ball was there, much less en route. Yesterday, it was easy to see how explosive this duo can be - if Moss is healthy. (The Herald will not run the Randy Moss Watch if the receiver is not on the practice field.)
You might as well ask Belichick for some info out of his playbook. You are as likely to get accurate information.
Ha. Ha. Just trying to keep the rumors at bay buddy. Both Moss and Stallworth were at practice yesterday, lining up on either side of the field. And to make it fun - they had Faulk and SEAU in the backfield. You just never know what you're going to see on our fieldhmy:
Randy Moss watch By Herald staff Monday, August 6, 2007 - Updated: 10:05 AM EST This was pretty much a rerun of Friday?s walkthrough. Moss played a bit of catch, jogged a little, and lined up a few times at wide receiver as the offense went through plays. Mostly, he stood around, so once again it was tough to get any kind of read on the state of his injured hamstring during yesterday?s lone practice.
Yeah at least we have many injury-prone old men. That way we're safe if one of the geezers breaks their hip. Take that, Pats!
