Really, Joe Morgan? You're surprised that the Mets aren't warming up WAGNER in the TOP OF THE 8TH fucking inning with a 4 run lead and the bases loaded?

This Sunday night crew is worse than I remember. This game has been painful to listen to.

Well as they said Willie is going to do everything he can to get Glavine his 300th win.

Just top notch analysis by the ESPN crew, you don't get this type of coverage in any other telecast.

I've got to confess, I enjoy it. Of course that's watching a game with them every month or so, I'd go crazy listening to these guys any more often. It adds another layer of entertainment to the game.

Nice stat by Joe: in actuality, the most complete games Bob Gibson ever had in a season was 28, which he did in both 1968 and 1969. Since he never started more than 36 games in a season in his career, it wasn't too likely that he was going to complete 36 games in a season.

Okay, Sosa got through it, so I acknowledge that Willie's gut did not cost the Mets in this case.

I guess Lou wants Tommy to get that 300th win, given that he put Dempster in again.

So with all this downtime with the ump situation, ESPN still couldn't get a replay to try and show what happened to Castillo?

(edit: and on cue they say it was heat exhaustion)

if castillo hadn't been playing in a dome in the al for his entire career he probably wouldn't have fell victim to wrigley's treacherous heat.

Lets hope now that Glavine has 300 he keeps pitching the way he has the last 2 starts and doesnt regress to what he had been doing before he got to 299. Hes pitched great last 2 times out.
