Game 1 (2:20 PM EST, SNY): Orlando Hernandez, RHP (7-4, 3.02) @ Carlos Zambrano, RHP (14-7, 3.47) Game 2 (3:55 PM EST, FOX): John Maine, RHP (12-5, 2.92) @ Ted Lilly, LHP (11-5, 3.60) Game 3 (8:05 PM EST, ESPN): Tom Glavine, LHP (9-6, 4.38) @ Jason Marquis, RHP (8-6, 4.22)
David Newhan batting 2nd pretty much sums up my expectations for this game. I would love to be proven wrong.
It's a shame because with Floyd and Jones as the only lefties in the lineup for Chicago El Duque should have a pretty good day.
What a terrible, terrible lineup. I honestly can't understand it. Willie overrates these lefty-righty matchups to hell. This crap always seems to happen when we're on the verge of a potential roll.
Seriously. I mean, the guy is ridiculously wild today. I'm only following on gameday, but it's showing me that had Anderson taken all 4 pitches, he'd have walked and we'd have gotten a run there. We're really lucky Zambo's up to 88 pitches through 5.
Willie's gut guessed right the other day, so therefore this must be a good managerial decision. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!!?! Seriously, I'm glad I'm not watching this on TV right now.
The only unfortunate thing about that is that he is a workhorse, he'll get through 7 even if he is at 120+ pitches
