Football without cheerleaders is un-American. I don't say this because I'm a horny bastidge (although I am), but because it's a long standing tradition. I can't imagine having gone to games in high school or college without cheerleaders, it would have just seemed so incomplete.

I'm pretty sure they cannot have cheerleaders in Giants stadium because of the size of the field. There is some safely law that prohibits cheerleaders there.

They had the flag chicks last season. More cleavage should be considered.

I couldn't care less about cheerleaders. I go to the games to win. To hell with the cheerleaders, seriously.

I was at a game last year, I think it was the game against Houston. It was unseasonably warm. One of the flag girls finally took off her velour suade(sic) jumpsuit top to reveal a white tank top. For the remainder of the game, she made roughly 94 appearances on the Jumbotron, each time to thunderous applause. The moral of the story: This is a good idea.

The rule is regarding the number of people allowed on field at any given time. AFAIK, it's always been the Giants who've prevented cheerleaders. I can only assume it's because, knowing their players, there'd be far more horseplay on the sidelines, than football in between them.

All we need to do is drop a few of the extra ballboys, media that isn't doing sh** anyway, and those fatass flag boys, and we have ourselves AMPLE room for cheerleaders!

And hopefully they'll expand the sidelines when the new house is built, so there's actually room for our players to stand without contact so close it should only be seen in porn or on the subway.

    In summation:

    Flag Boys = NAMBLA
    Flag Girls = NICE!
    Cheerleaders = BOOYAH!!!

I love it! and seriously I see no down side with cheerleaders, to those who complain you can simply ignore them if you don't care, nothing better than watching hot women after a Jets win

Cheerleaders are like pole dancers , they get you all excited and when you just think its leading somewhere , they take a hike , leaving you with a mast and no sail.

I'm a 42 year old guy that doesn't have to beat his meat everytime some bit of skirt flashes her undies to try and wake you up , I'm already awake and will be firing long after you whipper snappers snuggle up to blanky.

If you're talking about at home or something then fine, I can understand you not wanting cheerleaders. But if you are at a game, all the unneccessary commercial time outs really add up and become quite tedious. Without something to keep the fans focused, it really drains the life out of the crowd.

A team can be in the middle of a great defensive stand or on a nice drive and then they always cut to commercial right out of the blue. Then the fans just sit there for 3 minutes and bullshit, completely forgetting what's going on. The cheerleaders keep the fans watching the field and pumped up, so it really is beneficial to the team IMO.

The flag girls achieved this to an extent last year, and I think cheerleaders will just make it better.

I'm pretty far removed from teenage testosterone.

I just don't see what the big deal is with them being there? If you aren't interested, don't watch.

And it's really not the same as a pole dancer. Cheerleaders are just eye candy. Strippers are there for erotic entertainment.

Most of the girls will be those from the AFL NY Dragons cheerleading squad.

Hey look, for years we as fans haven't been able to motivate these players on the sidelines. Let's give the girls a chance to boost the moral!

I'll get some more info from my friend...
